South Dakota AG convicted in impeachment trial over fatal crash response, removed from office

The South Dakota Senate convicted Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg on two charges in his impeachment trial on Tuesday, removing him from office and preventing him from holding office in the future.

The impeachment stemmed from a 2020 car accident in which the Republican Ravnsborg fatally struck a man with his car. The night of the crash, he said in a 911 call that he thought he hit a deer or some other large animal and was not aware that he hit a person until the next day.

"There's no question that was a lie," Republican State Sen. Lee Schoenbeck said. "This person ran down an innocent South Dakotan."

That would probably only apply to state office.  Pretty sure they cannot change the qualifications to run for President (not that he would run) and probably don't have the authority to block someone from being appointed to a federal position. I am curious as to why the Clay County prosecutor didn't charge him with a felony when she says he "absolutely saw the man that he struck in the moments after."

No...

He flipped his car in a pond and never called the police...

He went for help and asked one of his friends to claim he was driving.  The guy refused.

He then went back to his hotel and went to bed.

The next morning he called....

.....his lawyer

Not the police

So he was not guilty of manslaughter it was a passenger in his car who failed to get out of the car after he flipped it over into the water isn't that true?

And Slideman says "she failed to get out of the car"...

Funny thing happens when you HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE what you are talking about.

KENNEDY COMMITTED A CRIME. A MURDER. AND THE MASS. LAW SAYS AS MUCH, ASSWIPE!!!

Under Massachusetts
law, “[a]ny person who wan-
tonly or in a reckless or grossly
negligent manner did that which
resulted in the death of a human
being was guilty of manslaugh-
ter, although he did not contem-
plate such a result.”

Now what fucking "excuse" are you going to INVENT TO DEFEND A FUCKING MURDERING PIECE OF SHIT?????

And  you can "claim" it was purely an accident, but Kennedy HAD A RECORD HERE.......

First, his driver’s license had
expired; and second, Kennedy
had at least three reckless driving
convictions in Virginia (and two
other Virginia charges for driv-
ing without a license).

And after this incident he got caught again driving while intoxicated...

And it was swept away
