Look for the religious nutcases to sound off in opposition to this humane choice, especially the pain fetish Christian cult, and most notably the Pope.

"Tell him to stop." - an unknown sane man.

"Sarco" machines — 3D-printed capsules designed for use in assisted suicide — have passed a legal review and can now operate in Switzerland.

Dr. Philip Nitschke's coffinlike Sarco capsule should be ready for operation in Switzerland in 2022.  The Sarco can provide a peaceful death without using controlled substances.

"The benefit for the person who uses it is that they don't have to get any permission, they don't need some special doctor to try and get a needle in, and they don't need to get difficult drugs to obtain," Nitschke said.

The capsule is activated from the inside and can be towed to a location that the person wishes to die in, such as an outdoor setting. Once activated, the capsule floods its interior with nitrogen and rapidly reduces oxygen, causing the person to lose consciousness and, ultimately, die without choking or panicking.

The Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Canada, and Colombia allow assisted suicide, although each has different rules about it. Almost all countries and states that permit the practice require people to have an incurable or terminal condition that can't be remedied and causes them suffering.

In the Netherlands, euthanasia can be requested by anyone 12 years old and older who has "unbearable suffering with no prospect of improvement," but parental consent is required if a child is under 16.

In 2020, euthanasia in the Netherlands peaked with 6,938 procedures performed, an increase of 9% compared to the previous year.

Just get yourself a gun and skip all the paperwork !

Most painless and fast  . . .  a bit messy  . . .  but hey  . . .  it's not YOU who gotta do the cleanup !

I read somewhere that after eating your gun  . . .  your brain still registers all what's going on around you for up to 20 seconds.

Wonder who came back to tell that crap to the  "experts" ?

A bit like a chicken that runs wildly after its head has been cut off  . . .  and yet it still can keep it's balance and run straight.

And if it hits a wall  . . .  it just gets back on its legs and runs in the opposite direction, or something !

Without head !

That's quite a performance, if you ask me !

A friend of mine blew his head off in front of his step kid when she was about 5,  she was in the house for about 3 hours before anyone found him. there were tiny little footprints stained in blood leading from his chair to the kitchen,  she told the cops she couldn't wake up daddy.  until the day she died (13) she never mentally progressed from that day. she died a five year old

Sad !

Why would someone do that?

Just go into the woods and enjoy a mouthful of fresh air  . . .  and then go ahead !

Maybe he hated her.

I have personally known two people that killed themselves in my life, so far anyway.

One guy came home from classes one day and poured himself a tall glass of antifreeze and sprite, and kicked back in his recliner one last time... and the other guy drove his four wheeler out to the back forty and put a shotgun in his mouth.

Both cases were over a woman.

not exactly.  there isn't any length of time you must be a resident.  it could be as simple as changing your license or renting a room.

Then the law has changed recently. I read an article a few years ago  where a man with a brain tumor moved there to die. He was denied as 'not being a resident.' He went back home and the tumor grew so large it dislodged his eyeball. He died in agony. Not something I will forget. This is what passes for humane treatment in our Christian country. They made an example of Dr. Kevorkian to emphasize the point. We wouldn't treat an animal like that. This country is a fucking disgrace.

Killing oneself is not part of God's plan.  Suicide is the Supreme Failure. Eternal and infinite shame. If you commit suicide, you will be forced to come to terms with it in the hereafter.  Death and suffering are part of life.  Forced Suicide is not.  It is the equivalent of dividing your Sole by Zero, which is one of only a few things that will separate you from our ever-loving God.

Is that theocracy or podiatry?
