Let's put our political power behind efforts to eliminate this non-democratic system.

Eliminate the Electoral College.

All you need is 2/3 the house, 2/3  of the senate, the POTUS AND 3/4 of the state legislatures.

Better get busy young lady.

We are a Nation of individual States... and the Electoral College guarantees each individual State a voice in picking the Nation's President, regardless of the population of said State... just like the framers intended.

And you have stated the argument for why it should be eliminated.....people vote, not states.

The framers had to compromise with racists.

We do not.  Republicans/racists are far outnumbered.

The EC guaranteed that some states get MORE of a voice than warranted by their population.

YOU apparently are ignorant of this subject too.

That's where you are wrong.

States vote for the President, according to the voice of that State's citizens.

You want densely populated urban areas to have all the power, and that's not how it works.

False.  Most states cast their electoral votes for one person = NOT proportionately with the state's citizen's votes.

You got caught lying again, Rippy.

The Electoral College does not  represent the needs or opinions of the citizens. The unwisdom of it are reflected in the incompetent and unwanted presidencies of Juniorbush and Trump.

The EC represents the needs and opinions of the individual States, as it was intended.

Why not go a step further?   We should all directly vote on every piece of legislation.
