In the United States today the party that can sway the independents who make up a plurality of the electorate are the winners. The Independents are not swayed by extremists.   The Republican

I have no idea who you're referring to.

You’re assuming those votes were actually cast and not illegally harvested.    Ever seen a polling predict in the inner city? 😆   I have a feeling democrats have been mass harvesting

The Republican extremists who support Trump are helping their party commit suicide.

So Trump wasn't an extremist when he won in 2016?   Why was the left calling him a fascist, and a potential dictator?

Trump had a narrow path to victory in the electoral college. His extremism had not yet become manifest.

That was prior to the family separation policy for example.

It certainly was prior to the insurrection he sponsored that attempted to overthrow the legitimately elected government of the United States.

When during his presidency did he become an extremist?  The "family" separation policy certainly wasn't it.

I think you underestimate the wave of revulsion that swept the country when it became plain that he was separating children and infants from their parents.

Decent people were outraged at this family separation policy.

Decent people apparently doesn't include cult members

Maybe, due to the way it was reported.   If they had said that the children were being separated because the "parent" may actually be a coyote that kidnapped the child it probably wouldn't have received the backlash.

If the public would have known he fucked a a porn star and paid to keep her quiet, we might have had different result.

That is a complete fabrication they were separating children from their parents. They stated at the time that it was in an attempt to discourage people from attempting to cross the border.

Don't lie

And what do you think is happening now under Biden's watch... that all started under Obama?

I don't see the republicans blocking the investigation  picking up any independent voters.

It's just how they report this stuff.

The Biden admin could follow a despised Trump policy to the letter, and it would be the best thing since sliced bread now.

It's the same now as it was under Trump and Obama, and it makes sense as a policy.   But I guess it's extremism.......or it wasn't, then it was, and now it isn't again.

The democratic party embraces their extremists.

Trump is nothing close to extremist.

It was during the election.

He stated hatred of blacks, gays, women, and immigrants.

YOU may not think that extreme but the MAJORITY of Americans said so.

OK.   So the OP is incorrect.   America does elect extremists.

He actually kinda did. Much of his promises were quite fascist in spirit.

But he didn't keep any.

He gave us criminal justice reform and a bunch of favors for jews.
