Democratic lawmakers from southern border states are saying President Joe Biden is failing them in addressing the migrant surge.

Both Democratic senators from Arizona have backed Republican Gov. Doug Ducey’s deployment of 500 National Guard soldiers to the U.S.-Mexico border. On Wednesday, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema said the state’s resources, which are in addition to existing federal law enforcement on the border, are not enough to handle the rising number of people illegally crossing in the Tucson and Yuma regions of the state.

"It’s clear that not enough is being done," Sinema said. "Arizona is bearing the brunt of this crisis because of the federal government's failure to address immigration issues over the last three decades."

You know? The crisis that either doesn't exist or that Biden tries to blame Trump even though EVERYONE KNOWS it occurred with Biden inviting millions of illegals into the country.

Trump had that border closed.

Biden open it.

The Biden Border Crisis is hurting the U.S.

And all the Dems who voted for that lying asshole share in the responsibility.

Actually, "EVERYBODY KNOWS" that you rightwingnuts are insane delusional liars.

How about you produce some actual hard evidence that President Biden ever, even once, "invited million of illegals into the country" or told the Border Patrol to open the borders and let everybody in.

In fact, the whole rightwingnut "border crisis" hysteria is a fraudulent political ploy invented by the Republicans to rile up their batshit-crazy base. In reality, everything at the southern border is pretty much as it has been for a long time, except for an unusual influx of unaccompanied minors, who had been waiting until tRump was gone so their chances would be better.

In the real world...........

Mar 25, 2021 — There is no "Border Crisis". In a year-to-year review of Border Patrol statistics, migration from Central America is seasonal, and spring reliably coincides with a spike. Setting aside 2020—an outlier year because of the pandemic—previous years show migration “surges” looks very similar every spring. In fact, in 2019, under the Trump Administration, there was a bigger jump in apprehensions from January to February 2019—31 percent—than the “surge” of 28 percent from January to February 2021 that is currently making so much news. (Remember the migrant caravan from Central America President Trump claimed was coming to “invade” the United States back in 2018? I interviewed participants and organizers as they passed through Mexico. It wasn’t even new back then. It had been coming every Easter season—the high season for migrants because of the temperate weather—since 2008. Named “the stations of the cross” by the group Pueblo Sin Fronteras, the caravan served to protect migrants by helping them band together and to bring public attention to their plight. Mothers with babies, teenagers fleeing gangs—they were a notably unthreatening group.) Some of the current uptick in migrants on the border is explained by the usual seasonal spike, and some is due to a backlog that built up because of Trump Administration restrictions. Nevertheless, Republicans have seized on fear-mongering about a flood of new migrants as the issue that could unite their fractured party, with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Republican of California, pumping up the idea of a “Biden border crisis.”

 ROBERT REICH ON 3/30/21
Republicans are outraged—outraged!—at the surge of migrants at the southern border.  House minority leader Kevin McCarthy has declared it a crisis, "created by the presidential policies of this new administration." But in fact, despite the surging hysteria from Republican ranks, there is no surge of migrants at the border. U.S. Customs and Border Protection apprehended 28 percent more migrants from January to February this year than in previous months. But this was largely seasonal. Two years ago, apprehensions increased 31 percent during the same period. Three years ago, it was about 25 percent from February to March. Migrants start coming when winter ends and the weather gets a bit warmer, then stop coming in the hotter summer months when the desert is deadly. To be sure, there is a humanitarian crisis of children detained in overcrowded border facilities. And an even worse humanitarian tragedy in the violence and political oppression in Central America, worsened by U.S. policies over the years, that's driving migration in the first place.

Jan 10, 2019 — There is no national crisis. Illegal cross-border migration in the first 3 months of FY 2019 is lower than the same period in FY 2017.
Mar 27, 2021 — For decades there have been many push factors behind someone’s decision to leave their home and embark on a dangerous, long, and expensive journey to uncertainty, with hopes for safety in the United States. And this time is no different. People have fled extreme circumstances as victims of extortion, corruption, gender-based violence, persecution, political unrest, extreme poverty, and natural disasters that have been exacerbated by climate change—most recently a devastating hurricane in Honduras that left people with nothing. One of the reasons 2021 is different is that for the last two years, Trump policies forced tens of thousands to be stuck in Mexican border towns—first under the “Remain in Mexico” policy in 2019, and then in 2020 with Title 42, under which Trump used the pandemic to close the border to all migrants and asylum seekers. It’s not like all the migrant families we’re seeing at the border today packed up and left their homes in Central America or Mexico after Biden became president. Many had already been at the border, becoming more and more desperate over the last year.

Mar 25, 2021 — There is no evidence to suggest that this is the case. Organizations working with ... So have Biden administration policies caused a crisis at the southern border? Evidence suggests not.

Mar 23, 2021 — If you've been reading or watching mainstream media over the past week or so, you've undoubtedly heard a lot about a supposed screaming emergency on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Mar 19, 2021 — After four years of racist, chaotic, anti-immigration policies by the Trump administration – as well as growing desperation fuelled by the pandemic and extreme climate events – the number of people seeking to enter the US is rising. But advocates in the Rio Grande Valley, where undocumented migrants have long been relied upon for cheap farm labour, reject incendiary claims that the numbers are overwhelming. “Migration goes up and down, that’s the reality of the border. Biden has different values and has given people hope, but there’s no border crisis, to say so is political manipulation,” said Ramona Casas, director of the migrant advocacy group Arise. “We need to address the root causes and transform the broken immigration system, not more militarization.” The current uptick started before Biden’s election, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) figures. Jenn Budd, a former senior border patrol agent turned whistleblower, said: “The only crisis at the border is the children, which the administration is trying to deal with, anything else is simply not true and an attempt to play politics, make Biden look bad and ensure the money keeps flowing to the border security industry.”

😅 It’s amazing the lies democrats will tell not to take responsibility for their fuck ups.

Meanwhile, unemployment went up not down. He’d have a point if we had a full employment economy but unskilled, uneducated labor isn’t going to fill any holes.
