His parents must be some jewels. They should be put in prison.

One of them was probably calling the shots from prison.

838 milliseconds between gun in the perp's hand to shot being fired.

Cop should sue Chicago for recklessly endangering his life.

I haven't read any response that is defending the kid's actions or condemning the cops.

You shouldn't.

Kid was wrong ... cop was right.

Probably not an ideal situation right now.

Now you know why police are so careful and afraid of Blacks, 13 year old, 13 with real guns shooting at people. And where's the MSM...cops are all Racist White Supremists.  That kid deserved to die, tragic, devastating, yes but those are the breaks!!!!

Why because some years back they told cops to stop, stop and frisk. Thank stupid democrats listening to blacks like All Sharpton and Jessy Jackson screaming Racist, BS.

Maybe Biden will propose some legislation or throw out some executive orders that will do something about young kids running the streets late at night with guns. It's a national health emergency that tarnishes out image before the world...I don't think background checks are going to do it.

The kid named Toledo was 13 years old and was in the 7th grade. The policeman told him to raise his hands, which he did, as we see from the cop's camera, and then the cop just gunned him down. He was lamentably wearing a Nike short with the slogan JUST DO IT.

There is no real excuse for a cop shooting an unarmed teen with his hands raised.

He had just dropped a gun when he turned to raise his hands, idiot

Are cops supposed to wait until they're shot to defend themselves?

When he was shot, his hands were raised and he held no gun.

Why was that kid out at 2-3 am, with a Ruger 9mm firing at building, fleeing the cops and resisting arrest ?

White 13yr.-olds don't do that.    (and they don't get shot)   What kind of parent allows their child to that ?

Was he a "prospect" for the Chicago Latin Kings trying to 'make his bones' & 'earn his stripes' ?                🙄

Yeah and the cop had 1/100th of a second to decide if he would live or die because the kid dropped the gun and swiveled his gun hand around the side the cop couldn't see

You want criminals to get the benefit of the doubt. I do not, because that's FUCKING STUPID

The cop could see in an instant that there was no gun.

NO.

There WAS a gun, then the kid dropped it and swung his arm around his blind side. The cop had every reason to think he was about to be shot. Your propaganda machine didn't tell you the whole truth, as usual.

He was armed and had just sprayed bullets into an apartment building.

Dropped the gun while turning around.

Now he is dead.

Next ...

I think the use of disorienting strobe mode should be considered. While it may have an effect on the perp to the officer's benefit, the cop was only seeing moments in time as the light flashed. From the view of the officer, the gun was in the kid's hand and then in the next illumination, the kid was facing him, raising the gun hand.  The gun ditching movement occurred in complete darkness.
