Your in texas correct. Doesn't surprise me they would gouge you. It's texas.

Yet more utter ignorance. Clearly that poster is NOT in Texas - and is in a leftist state with a ton of extra taxes on their fuel.

You can easily look up online fuel cost averages per state. Idiot...

Jet fuel is not taxed. Gasoline and Diesel are taxed.

Federal Taxes

For noncommercial operations, the federal excise tax is 19.4¢ per gallon on aviation gasoline and 21.9¢ per gallon on jet fuel. For commercial operations, the federal excise tax rate for jet fuel is 4.4¢ per gallon.

Not sure about half.....but we’re paying $2.37/gallon at our FBO.......though we pay just shy of $5.00/gallon throughout the Caribbean where my owners are chasing their yacht.

I only buy it to run my jobsite heater, but I paid 1.80 last week.   Yes, I know it's probably a no-no but I'm friends with one of the guys at the airport here.

Yep, just another nail in the economic coffin....

demand is up now.

https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2021-01-25/gas-prices-back-to-pre-pandemic-levels

THE AVERAGE PRICE OF A gallon of gas in the U.S. is now $2.40, up 15 cents from a month ago and the highest price since early March of last year when the country began locking down to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

The price rise comes amid a substantial increase in demand, with the Energy Information Administration reporting that demand increased from 7.53 million to 8.11 million barrels a day.

"Most motorists continue to see gas price increases, but at a slower rate than the past few weeks," Jeanette Casselano, director of external communications for AAA, said on Monday.

We're lucky....it has only gone up .30C.

When it was under $2 a gallon...I filled my truck and 3-5 gallon cans.

Filled my lawn mower up and went back and refilled a can.

Crude oil prices are surging

As with gasoline, the price of crude oil tanked last spring as COVID-19 wrecked economies and stopped people from traveling. To prop up oil prices, the OPEC cartel and its allies slashed oil production.

But lately, the cost of crude has been rising steadily — because OPEC has been slow to boost output again. Oil in mid-February hit $60 a barrel for the first time in over a year.

Point 1: Hey moron...why do you think the price of crude oil is going up ? Besides Sleepy Joe predicting it ?

You’re a proven liar. Now present Obama’s $4 a gallon gas while he waged war against oil and energy dependence.
