Pvt Bone Spurs remains hidden behind closed doors Tweeting... as the country faces the WORST STRETCH yet of the trumpVIRUS: report

Recommended Posts

Since the November 3rd election, President Trump’s government, campaign and legal team have been “plagued by mistakes, oversights, rejections and defeats in a post-election period marked by unprecedented disarray.”

After suffering a string of defeats in court over their unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud, Trump has continued to push debunked claims about dead people voting. Additionally, as the coronavirus continues to spiral out of control, Trump has spent more time at his golf clubs than at coronavirus task force meetings. Speaking to the Post, presidential historian Russell Riley says he can’t remember a set of circumstances “in which a president’s own personal pique has so completely disrupted the government’s ability to do its job well.”

“History will judge this administration very poorly on this dimension,” he said.

Olorunnipa writes that since the election, Trump has been mostly behind closed doors tweeting baseless conspiracy theories that have been flagged by Twitter for spreading misinformation.

“His low-profile approach to governing comes as the country is facing the worst stretch yet of a public health crisis that has already killed almost 250,000 Americans”

That mountain of corpses is due not only to Trump's unprecedented level of incompetence, but his damage to the government. The federal government does all sorts of things virtually no one knows about to protect the American citizenry — or at least it used to before Trump got there. In 2018, he disbanded a pandemic response team that had been in place since 2015. In 2019, he ended a $200 million pandemic advance warning system. As The Los Angeles Times reports, this latter system had "identified 1,200 different viruses that had the potential to erupt into pandemics, including more than 160 novel coronaviruses." It also "trained and supported staff in 60 foreign laboratories — including the Wuhan lab that identified SARS-CoV-2, the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19."

The claim: Former Vice President Joe Biden received five draft deferments from the Vietnam War

Less than two months ahead of Election Day, voters are scrutinizing candidates' records.

Posts on Facebook honed in on former Vice President Joe Biden and his record of military service — or lack thereof.

"Lifeguard/Football player Joe Biden got five draft deferments for asthma during Vietnam," a post claims, alongside a photo of high-school-aged Biden.

Biden received five student draft deferments and a medical exemption

Born in November 1942, Biden came of age amid the Vietnam War. But unlike millions of men of his generation, he never served in the military.

Biden received five student draft deferments, first as an undergraduate at the University of Delaware and later as a law student at Syracuse University.

And after a medical exam in April 1968, he received the "1-Y" classification, which meant he could only be drafted in a national emergency.

Biden released his Selective Service records to the Associated Press in 2008. At the time, a spokesperson said he was "disqualified from service because of asthma as a teenager," per The News Journal.
