'Criminal and Cruel': AOC Says 'Republicans Fled Senate' Leaving Americans 'Desperate' for Stimulus

Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York called Republicans "cruel" for adjourning the Senate without passing a stimulus package to assist Americans struggling financially amid the pandemic.

Ocasio-Cortez visited Corona, Queens to distribute pantry boxes to working families most impacted by the pandemic. The Democrat criticized Republicans for the ongoing stimulus deadlock in a tweet on Thursday afternoon, alongside images of her distributing food.

"The whole country is desperate for a second stimulus, but Republicans fled the Senate the moment they got their anti-everybody justice confirmed," Ocasio-Cortez wrote. "Meanwhile our team is helping families pick up the pieces from federal neglect. It's criminal and cruel."

After confirming Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell adjourned the Senate until November 9 with Congress still deadlocked over coronavirus relief.

Another stimulus package probably won't come before Election Day but it could still happen before the end of 2020.

McConnell told Republicans colleagues earlier this month that he had warned the Trump administration against reaching a deal with Democrats before Election Day over fears that it would divide the party.

Should someone point out to her that Piglosi didn't get the House to pass a package for the Senate to consider?  Does she know that all spending legislation must, according to the US Constitution, originate in the House of Representatives?

AOC? Always Obnoxious Cunt? That AOC?

We don't need another stimulus.   If we did, we wouldn't have seen a 33% bump in GDP last quarter

No. another stimulus would have made for a BIGGER BUMP.

I am all for the stock market rising, but the fact is that most Americans do NOT invest that much in the Markets.

Everywhere I drive in Miami, the lines of cars of people seeking free food are growing. The winter is coming, and people are ever closer to evictions and having their electricity and water shut off.

Trump and the morons in the Senate do not actually give a shit about poorer Americans starving, getting evicted and freezing to death. They were more concerned by installing their unqualified  and unbelieveably squeeky-voiced fanatical Supercatholic appointed to the Court.

They are AFRAID of the will of the people and seek to thwart it at every turn by voter suppression false claims that Covid is going to vanish, because "Americalis a Land of Miracles".
