I'm waiting to see what happens on December 10 before I say this is more than just a coincidence.    A pretty big event happened 666 years ago on that date that could parallel what happens this year.

I looked up Dec. 10, 1354 and couldn't get an answer.  What is the big event?

An old man that had a troubled son took back the Byzantine (Roman) empire after leaving a few years prior.

1354 was the year that the Ottoman Turks conquered Byzantium/ Constantinople, now known as Istanbul.

The number 666 is from the Book of Revelation, the silliest  book of the Bible, which has been the inspiration for religious lunacy for  centuries. No one is sure who really wrote it, but it is attributed to John of Patmos, a religious loon exiled by perhaps the Romans on the Greek Isle of Patmos. Why he is considered an authority on anything is a bit of a mystery, but he wrote a number of things that the Church thought that it needed to include in official doctrine.

The Bible is rather Kindergartenish, isn't it.  Tricksy talking snakes, The entire Earth flooded, Demons removed with the help of pigs. Saviors cussing out fig trees for failing to produce figs out of season.

I never taught anyone in school below the 8th grade. Mostly, I taught college.

Talking snakes are certainly childish. Noah's Ark was a good childish way to teach your kids the names of the animals, and perhaps how to count as well. Samson's hair is a childish concept. and shepherds and sheep, lambs and goats.

The Book of Revelation is more like the rantings of a lunatic.

How did Noah get hold of polar bears and kangaroos in his neck of the woods?

When asked such questions, the priest normally says, "the Holy Mother Church has scholars who can answer such questions".

it doesn't, by the way. Not to that question.

A better question is "How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?"

Answer; "As many as the Lord God wishes."

How can a bird fly?  Because God has given it the power of flight.

Nah, the poor and middle class have been PAYING the last 40 years while the wealthiest got a pass.

Trump is a perfect example of the wealthiest not having

to pay taxes.  Illegal aliens pay FAR MORE federal income taxes than Trump does.

The poor  pay no  federal  income taxes, so stop  lying

The  top 10%  pay 70% of the total  federal income  taxes, the bottom  49% pay  0%

We know what Trump paid.  We know Warren Buffett's bracket.

The wealthy do NOT pay.
