I live in the U.S., so that has no bearing on my life.

Rightwing CHRISTIAN judges are the ONLY group trying to strip American women of their

freedom.  That is what the Supreme Court justice selection is about......CHRISTIAN judges

forcing their beliefs on others.  SIX CATHOLICS make up the court majority, no Protestants or Jews or

Muslims.  The religion of priests molesting children has been given control of the courts

by REPUBLICANS.

They are fucked up in the head

The basic tenets of Islam make little sense. Any religion that states that no Muslim has the right to leave Islam with impunity. Islam shares with Christianity the claim that it is the only valid religion. so it is rather fucked up in the head as well.

Read the Koran. Read the Book of Revelation. Both are largely gibberish.

There may be an omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, omnibenevolent creator deity. But anyone with the abiity to reason logically should be able to understand that such a being would have done a far better job of writing the Bible than the collection of prophets, poets, storytellers and nutcases that actually did. Mohammad claims that Allah narrated the entire Koran to him, and he somehow memorized it accurately. Mohammad was illiterate. So sak yourself, does that sound logical?

Christians and Muslims claim to believe this stuff because they were taught that the Bible and the Koran are the Word of God/Allah as children. Most simply have not read the allegedly holy texts or have not understood them.

Mormons also have a lot of really silly theology. Such as the belief that someone could translate  texts from an ancient Biblical language with a couple of magical stones or lenses, and the belief that the golden plates on which the Book of Mormon was written were spirited away by the Angel Moroni after Joseph Smith dictated and published his Book of Mormon.

Christians, Muslims, Mormons and a lot of other believers simply store their religious attitudes in the attics and basements of their minds and do not refer to them when making decisions. This is as true of Muslims as it is for Christians.

So I would say that at least some Muslims could be just as  capable of being a decent judge as some Christians.

it is not legal to use religion as a consideration for appointments. It is, however not legal to state that their should be more Muslim judges, just as it is not illegal to state that there should be Christians judges, Buddhist judges or atheist judges, because all such statements are free speech.

Were the dead American Muslims that died fighting for America not fit to serve?

If so then their families might have a case against tge US government.

Most judges are not Supreme Court judges, We have HUNDREDS of judges in this country. Meng did not say we should have  Muslim Supreme Court justices. By saying Supreme Court judges, you are changing the argument.

We certainly should have more Protestant justices on the Supreme Court. If Barrett is confirmed, the Court will consist of two Jews and seven Roman Catholics.  There are more Protestants and people with no church affiliation in this country than Roman Catholics or Jews. The Court is poorly apportioned religion-wise. That is undeniable.

Twitter and Facebook are private corporations. They do not presume to be fair and balanced sources of news. They can publish or refuse to publish whatever the Hell they wish.  Just like the Heritage Foundation, the Cato Institute, or any other corporation.

If you want actual in depth fair and balanced news, there are PBS, NPR, and  BBC America. If you are depending on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and such for news, then you understand nothing about any of these corporation or the news.

I have nothing against Muslim judges. Neither you nor I have any  power or ability to appoint state of federal judges or Supreme Court justices. The Founding Fathers did not trust even the few men with property that were given the vote the ability to approve the Constitution, the Bill of Rights or the appointment of judges.

Since neither of us has any such power, it is silly to even have this conversation.

We should be holding a campaign  to give more power to the people to make these important decisions.
