The word you failed to recall was IDOLIZED.

And it is entirely untrue, unschooled no college dummy, Michelle never expressed admiration for Che Guevara.

What is needed is for selfish capitalists to increase wages.

Suppose you have some group of workers that, based on their experience, skills, and the job they are performing, provide value to their employers of say, $7/hr.  Exactly how much in wages do you think their "selfish capitalist" employers should be paying them?

Hard to know if that's true or not since the mainstream media has done such a poor job of investigating and reporting the past of both Barack and Michelle.   We do know this, however.  We know that Barack has little problem with Che. Here he is, letting himself be photographed in front of a huge mural of Guevara during a formal welcoming ceremony while visiting Cuba in March of 2016 (Michelle was in tow, by the way) …

326EF10C00000578-3502655-image-m-97_1458

Even NBC*news* took special note of the fact that Barack was photographed in front of Che.   Here's their picture ...

(From https://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/u-s-cuba-relations/che-guevara-mural-looms-large-behind-obama-during-cuba-visit-n542831 )

And Bill Ayers ... Obama AND Michelle’s long term business associate, admitted advisor and close friend (they had family dinners together) ... certainly seemed to idolize Che Guevara.  Che had a whole section in Bill Ayer’s Weather Underground manifesto, Prairie Fire.  Here’s a page from it …

pfpg10_chebig.jpg

And that idolization continued throughout Ayer’s life.

During a 2006 interview that Ayers did with Venezuelan socialist Luis Bonilla-Molina talking about the Weather Underground (think of the Weather Underground as the progenitor of BLM), there was a Che picture in the background.   Ayers even wrote a glowing tribute to Che on the 50th anniversary of his death in 2017, here: https://www.thenation.com/article/archive/it-has-been-50-years-since-che-guevara-was-murdered/ .   No question about it, XO, Ayers loved the guy and it’s hard to believe that love wasn’t expressed to Obama and Michelle during their nearly 30 year relationship.   And despite the fact they must have known Ayers was a Che loving communist, they kept him as a friend and advisor … until Obama ran for President and they had to (at least publicly) dump him.

Ayers certainly was still a communist when the Obamas were close friends … when Obama was working directly with him.   In 2002, for example, Ayers told a college radio station, “I'm as much an anarchist as I am a Marxist.”  In 2006 he posted an open letter ( https://billayers.org/2006/04/20/a-letter-to-a-young-comrade-in-latin-america/ ) in which he wrote: “We were anti-authoritarian, anti-orthodoxy, communist street fighters. ... I want to embrace...draft resisters, deserters, tax avoiders ... If we know we hope to achieve a democratic and socialist world, a culture of life and love, our strategy and tactics are informed by filling that vision out on the ground ... I went to Camp Casey in August precisely because I'm an agnostic about how and where the rebellion will break out, but I know I want to be there and I know it will break out... “.   Well the rebellion has broken out (we know that Weather Underground members are influencing the leaders of BLM) and you can be sure that somewhere in the background Ayers and Obama are lurking.  And if Obama is there, so is Michelle.

There's another connection between the Ayers and Michelle.

Bernardine Dohrn, Ayer’s spouse, is also enamored with Che Guevara.   Here’s something she wrote in 2014:

Quote

Our Feminist Poet on Che

by Bernardine Dohrn

If you have not been thinking about Che, now you will. Our gifted poet, feminist author, and revolutionary thinker has given us a spare and ethical meditation on the lingering life and death of Ernesto Che Guevara.

Again, it’s glowing in its idolization of Che.   And Bernadette Dohrn had a relationship with Michelle Obama.  From 1988 to 1991, Michelle Obama worked as an associate at the same law firm (Sidley and Austin) as Bernadette Dohrn.   Hard to believe they wouldn’t have known each other well, since at the time the firm wasn’t that large.   It’s also where Michelle first met Barack.   What a coincidence.     You really think Dohrn never talked about Che with Michelle all those years they’ve know each other, XO?   You really think none of Dohrn and Ayer’s idolization didn’t rub off?   Seriously?  When Michelle told America that she was never proud of America before Barack became President?

Just saying …

Like JFK, Che was excessively photogenic, and he was a great speaker, which you would not  know unless you understood Spanish. And he was chased down in Bolivia and the idiot CIA cut off his head and hands, which made him a major martyr.

Before the Revolution, Cuban banks refused hire Black people, even as janitors. When Che became Secretary of the Treasury, he threw out all the White people in the banks and replaced them with Black people.  Che was an educated man with a medical degree and a hero to the Cuban people. That is a fact. Che was an Argentine and was seen as the major figure to disseminate  the Cuban Revolution in Latin America.

In 1957, Eisenhower's CIA engineered the overthrow of a mildly leftist  elected president of Guatemala and replaced him with a military goon. This led to a constant uprising of the Indian peasants against the Guatemalan government that lasted to beyond the end of the Century.

Che mocked JFK, and thanked him for the Bay of Pigs, as it solidified the Communist revolution. He constantly lambasted the US for its racism and suppression of Black people.

Michelle did nothing as first lady which suggested she favored any of Che's policies, and neither did Barack. Posing in front of the image of Che is like posing in front of the Jefferson Memorial for a visiting head of state.

Watch the film "Motorcycle Diaries" and  perhaps you will understand why Che was considered such a hero.

In  any tourist curio market in Buenos Aires, there is a greater variety of Che keychains and memorabilia than of any Argentine leader, including Juan Domingo and Evita Peron.

I did not say a damn thing about "worth."  Will you idiot libs ever learn how to read???

I very, very, very clearly said that, in my hypothetical example, these workers "based on their experience, skills, and the job they are performing, provide value to their employers of say, $7/hr."

So, are you saying that these workers should be paid $11/hr even though they are only providing $7/hr of value to their employer?  In other words, that employers should be giving out (ignoring taxes to keep it simple) $4/hr of charity to these workers if they want to employ them?

The fact that this is a thread is laughable. Since the first humans roamed the earth, there has been someone that wanted resources to be distributed in a different way. Such is the human condition.

I say worry about yourself . Spending time on what the other guy is getting , is a waste of time.
changing the focus to what I CAN OFFER to those I love and the world makes me sleep better at night

I am in the same boat. However, you can't argue that there has been and always will be someone who thinks that resources are not distributed fairly/equitably/etc.
