Wilford Brimley, who worked his way up from movie stunt rider to an indelible character actor who brought gruff charm, and sometimes menace, to a range of films that included “Cocoon,” “The Natural” and “The Firm,” has died. He was 85.

Brimley was an ex-Marine,  a Mormon, a blacksmith and a character actor. He was only 50 when he starred in Cocoon and they had to make him look OLDER.

He made some amusing commercials.

No one has yet suggested that he died of covid. Why Jimbo and  official Drooling Fundie Idiot 123 choose to accuse "Liberals" of saying that they did is yet another sign of their legendary rightwing assholery and spitefulness

Seeing him later on in like makes it hard to believe he was a stunt rider, much less a marine...always came across as the mellow grandfather type...

RIP Wilford...
