He linked an editorial that claimed 16 instances of Trump racism.   I addressed each one and debunked them individually.

@slideman then cam back and scathingly defended his claims against my retorts.    (Just kidding...  he ran away like he always does.  )

no you didn't..

Oh... I have a litany of abominations there as well.

But before I retire from my job to compile the list... will they be dismissed as subjective or objective?

Ex:  If I suggest X is bad, is the retort - “THAT’S JUST YOUR OPINION!”  Meaning these are things we would object to as bad or wrong if applied to most anyone else?

I think that the current political process is so fucked that presidents are basically just figureheads.  About all Obama could do was make impressive speeches, and about all Trump can do is tweak the left.

How come no one has this objection towards seatbelts?  The government mandates seatbelts.  But when the government requests masks for a public health crisis, its like they’re sodomizing the citizens.

Seatbelts are normal, not extraordinary.  If we didn't have seatbelts, we wouldn't have cars.  They are effectively an additive technology which allows us to have something we value, much the way advertisements allow us to have free television.  The masks on the other hand are being imposed externally upon a daily life that was functioning just fine before they came along, and would still function just fine without them, except a tiny handful of old or weak people would die.  I think that's the lesser evil here, to shed a tiny bit of genetic dead weight, rather than to put the entire freaking human race worldwide into chains.

Obama assisted in one of the countries most vital bills in the ACA - which got HC to 25 million Americans.

Was it perfect?  Of course not.  Just like all legislation is imperfect due to the concessions legislatiors must make in order to pass a bill into law.

So you don't want anything to do with nuance or subtlety.  "That guy killed ten innocent women, he's a criminal, hang him!  That starving mother stole a loaf of bread for her children, she's a criminal, hang her!"

That work has already been done.

For ex:. trump (& his father) were sued by minority tenets for discriminating practices.  Refusing to lease to minority tenents.

Another ex:. trump was sued by minority dealers who worked in his casinos for discrimination practices.  When high rollers were booked, trump would order his managers to pull the black dealers from the floor & assign them to other posts.

These are just a couple in a litany of examples.

Any superlative assigned is relative.

There’s a grand canyon sized gap b/t bigoted/racist & a white supremacist.

I used to have members in my family who were bigoted bcus they were ignorant.  They didn’t know or never associated with minorities.  That makes their bigotries ignorant.

A white supremacist isn’t ignorant.  They celebrate their disdain for minorities & wish eradicate them from society.

The reich required homosexuals to wear a pink triangle that identified them.  This doesn't strike me as particularly different, except that they're doing it to EVERYONE, not just to a small disliked group.  But the masks don't do all that much and everyone knows that; it's just a symbol of obedience to the nonexistent authority of the CDC, which has no right to give everyone "guidelines" that are being interpreted as absolute rules for no particular reason.

You couldn't be more wrong. Masks protect other people against an infected wearer. Since many people are asymptomatic who have the virus, Masks are an essential component of the attempt to prevent the spread.

His blatant racism is bringing on a second Reconstruction.

A massive repudiation of Trump’s racist politics is building

Four years ago, Christopher Parker, an African American political scientist at the University of Washington, made the provocative argument that Donald Trump’s candidacy could “do more to advance racial understanding than the election of Barack Obama.”

“Trump’s clear bigotry,” Parker wrote in the American Prospect, a liberal journal, “makes it impossible for whites to deny the existence of racism in America. . . . His success clashes with many white Americans’ vision of the United States as a fair and just place.”

Those words seem prescient today, after four years of President Trump’s racism, from the “very fine people” marching with neo-Nazis in Charlottesville to, in just the past week, a “white power” retweet and a threat to veto defense spending to protect the names of Confederate generals; after a pandemic disproportionately ravaged African American communities while an indifferent president tried to move on; after Trump-allied demonstrators, some carrying firearms and Confederate flags, tried to “liberate” themselves from public health restrictions; after the video of George Floyd’s killing showed the world blatant police brutality; after Trump used federal firepower against peaceful civil rights demonstrators of all colors.

Trump has accelerated a decades-old trend toward parties redefining themselves by race and racial attitudes. Racial resentment is now the single most important factor driving Republicans and Republican-leaning movers, according to extensive research, most recently by Nicholas Valentino and Kirill Zhirkov at the University of Michigan — more than religion, culture, class or ideology. An ongoing study by University of North Carolina researchers finds that racial resentment even drives hostility toward mask-wearing and social distancing. Conversely, racial liberalism now drives Democrats of all colors more than any other factor.

“For many white Americans, the things Trump is saying and getting away with, they just didn’t think they lived in a world where that could happen,” says Vincent Hutchings, a political scientist specializing in public opinion at the University of Michigan. Racist appeals in particular alienate white, college-educated women, and even some women without college degrees, he has found: “One of the best ways to exacerbate the gender gap isn’t to talk about gender but to talk about race.”

Trump’s racism has also emboldened white Democrats, who have often been on the losing end of racial politics since George H.W. Bush deployed Willie Horton against Michael Dukakis in 1988. “They’re embracing the racial issues they used to cower on in decades past,” Hetherington says.

This is what Parker had in mind when he wrote in 2016 that Trump could be “good for the United States.” The backlash Trump provoked among whites and nonwhites alike “could kick off a second Reconstruction,” Parker now thinks. “I know it sounds crazy, especially coming from a black man,” he says, but “I think Trump actually is one of the best things that’s happened in this country.”

There's only one problem,,,,the racism only lives in your head.

Image may contain: 6 people, suit and night

Image may contain: 8 people, text that says 'Donald Trump has been in the public eye for over 30 years... ...and he was never once accused of being racist by anyone until he he decided to run against the Democrats.'

Image may contain: 7 people, meme, text that says 'THE MOST RACIST PEOPLE LLTERO ARE THE ONES CRYING" ING"RACIST ALL THE TIME! It's called hypocrisy.'

I'm well aware of the lies that the Chinese Health Organization and the Centers For Anthony Fauci's Dividends Control have been perpetuating.  It changes nothing about what the actual science is.  Masks don't protect anyone, and most people don't need protection anyway.  This virus is less dangerous than common influenza; it's only a big deal because the people who are most vulnerable to it tend to be old, and thus are often rich.  If this was killing 5% of the world's population but they were all poor, our government wouldn't lift a finger.

  • I know this one, this new chat thing. I've seen it called the "shoutbox" among other things in my past. Very hard to hide from the chat box. The question is asked, there's no time to go search what other folks think, this is real time. Only seconds should be between chat box replies. This one is made for me. In the chat box one has to be quick on their feet with stuff at the ready. This chat box is the worst nightmare of anyone trying to deal with ol' teach.

The question is posed, there ain't no stinkin time for ya'll to refer to your betters for the answer, ya'll don't understand these things, this political debate, ya'll don't have the answer at hand, ya'll haven't thought this through, ya'll ain't ready for the next question I'll ask,  ya'll can't handle the pace that a bloke such as I can bring it in the chat box, ya'll can't handle this format.

This one is made for me.
