Micheal Moore's Planet of Humans Spurs Backlash from Scientists

Recommended Posts

This is a movie with fabricated facts that are truly dangerous and food for the anti-climate-change denier's - especially the Big fossil fuel contingents. It is absolutely horrible what Moore has done here.

I'm sorry, but he has lost all credibility with this one. He's a big jerk in my book!

And this at a time when the world is at an inflection point that calls for big time action!!! It is completely irresponsible!!!

So the creation of solar array's do create carbon release, however the technology has grown immensely and given the fact that Photovoltaic systems can now be produced cheaply and can last thirty years, at least 90 percent of their use is carbon dioxide free, which is far better than nuclear power generation, and at a much lower cost.

This is not to say that there's no room for improvement. We need to tap that improvement with a worldwide effort almost immediately. We have learned that we release far more methane into the atmosphere than what was first thought. The good news is methane has a much much shorter half-life than CO2. The good news is removing methane release would help solve at least 25 percent of the problem, and this is a relatively quick fix. And we need a quick fix, because we are getting perilously closer to a tipping point where CO2 gases that are trapped in permafrost might someday soon be released.
