Right wing capitalism

Show me the logic that says higher wages for the worker will get rid of the product or service being sold. If the Minimum wage was 50 cents an hour people like you would be still arguing with  the same nonsense post. Tell me why in the hell should I have to pay for what is needed for a family to keep a roof over their head and food on their table. Tell me why the tax payer has to pay for everything over a minimum wage that with two working still isn't enough to achieve this . These pigs sucking off the government  so they can increase their bottom line should be outlawed. Screw your type of corporate welfare capitalism

Corporate welfare capitalism doesn’t exist . Capitalism is in place to eliminate welfare . Survival of the fittest

It has proven successful over socialism

There is no socialism in this country none , nor will there ever be, unless the controlled people among  us are the ones who define what socialism is.  The most nonsensical response that the right has.

This is my favorite time on these boards showing how ignorant the right is. I have a question , when was the last time someone came up to you and said , you know I think it would be a good idea that government takes over all this countries businesses and was charged with the sales of all their products? never happened and never will and stupidio with out that there is no  socialism or capitalism. Always love this stupid quiz on these lame minded people.

Capitalism is a beautiful thing.

Capitalism is a very useful economic tool. It is no more beautiful than a hammer and nails, or an electric motor.

Capitalism was the Pullman  sleeper car Co. in the 1880s' when its president George Pullman slashed his wages in half, but kept the rent of his workers living in the housing he provided at the same level, and the food in his company stores as expensive as before.

THAT was not "beautiful".

You are simply ignorant and know nothing of economics, history or politics.

Here is an example of capitalism at work.

As you may know, there are principally two sizes of toilets: round and elongated.

I was at a Wal*Mart the other day and they had the soft toilet seats in the round size for $9.99. Made in China, of course.  There cannot be a lot of materials or labor involved in making these. They are made of particle board and several kinds of plastic.

The elongated style of toilet seat cannot possibly be more than 30% larger in size. Also made in China of the same materials.  Price: $38.98.

Ok. Let me first be clear on something- soft toilet seats are gross and remind me of something an old person would have. They are bacteria ridden and if there is the slightest rip in one (and there always is) then you are stabbed in the buttocks

I’m not sure if that is an example . I think it’s miss pricing.

Right wing capitalism vs left wing capitalizing they both move people to ignore what actual life is in plain sight. Which one is more evil than the other and less dishonest than the rest governing all accomplish from now on??

Doesn't matter justified spiritually, trained academically, promoted artistically, defended politically, used socially as ancestrally describing the history of humanity so far.  Gee nobody knows what went wrong with serving greater good intentions of making sure no ancestor born changes the systems from now on.

Whether or not you like soft toilet seats or not is NOT the issue. There is nothing in them that could stab you in the butt, either. I imagine that the same pricing formulas are used on  MANY other products as well.

The best thing about them for business is that they wear out, whereas the old style wooden or solid plastic ones do NOT wear out.

These were not mispriced, either.

WalMart puts a UPC (Uniform Price code)  on all products, not a price, but it also prints prices to hang in the stores. There is no mistake involved. The price is on the computer and the clerk scans the code and the price is immediately accessed by the store computer.

I would assume that $9.95 price would make for a markup of 100% of the delivered price, so of that $9.95, WalMart keeps about $5.00.

The elongated seats may cost 40% more to manufacture and a tiny amount more to ship and stock on the shelves,  so with the same markup, they should sell for  $13.88 and the store would keep $7.00.

But this is not the case: WalMart is selling the elongated seats for $38.88 and keeping around $31 of that.

This is NOT "beautiful". It is price gouging, quite obviously.

There you go a answer that complains and insults but nothing else.
