"People Who Rely On Fox News Are NOT Informed Citizens."

February 13, 2020

"Former White House Chief Of Staff John F. Kelly spoke to an audience in Morristown, N.J., on Wednesday, offering some pointed criticism of his former boss’s policies.

He defended Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman’s response to President Trump’s call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He criticized Trumps embrace of Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher, who had been accused of war crimes. He offered muted support for immigrants seeking to come to the United States.

Perhaps Kelly's most sweeping criticism of Trump, though, came when he took aim at another target.

The media, in my view, and I feel very strongly about this, is not the enemy of the people,” Kelly said. We need a free media."

“That said, you have to be careful about what you are watching and reading, because the media has taken sides,” he continued.

“So, if you only watch Fox News because it's reinforcing what you believe, you are not an informed citizen."

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley claims that former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly had tried to circumvent President Donald Trump and make their own policy decisions.

Haley’s claims, made in a new book and reported by the Washington Post, come as former White House aides have told the House impeachment inquiry that they were alarmed that Trump was making his own policy on Ukraine.

It's no wonder Kelly is bitter.

Oh we’re supine to believe msnbc and fredo at cnn?

The least biased media are BBC America, Reuters, PBS and NPR.

Fox is ALWAYS an opinionated take on happenings. MSNBC is SOMETIMES biased to the left center.

supine?  You mean "supposed to"?

No, you should get the facts and make up your own mind.

The media is inherently a leftist/liberal construct. The degree to which it is, that depends on context. However, one of the purposes of journalism is to shine a light on things and work towards change. Conservatism is about preserving the past and the present... not change.

Does no one read the news anymore? Are we in a post-literate society?

I read the Miami Herald daily and other newspapers around the world online.

Referring to print media when discussing anything with Kingaroo would be like trying to discuss Wall Street with a crow.

Stay static and not changing. I think you got a handle on it.
