merrill
Is it legal to bribe elected officials? Yes; it’s called lobbying. People of influence are hired by groups or companies to advocate on their behalf by making donations to political election campaign committees in return for favorable votes and treatment by the politician. It is these rich companies and groups who are having the most influence with politicians who then close their ears to the constituents who voted them into office in the first place. We’re talking about billions of dollars here, so about the only way for the voters to be heard is to vote the person out in the next election in the hope the new person will do the people’s business and not the business of the highest bidder. Is it corruption? Yes.Is it legal? Yes, because Congress passed a law making it so.
NeoConvict
Think Carlin and Williams are correct, they need to wear company patches like nascar racers to show who owns them.
