But the systematic ways you are referring to is an easy fix because at the end of the day, we decide what we put in our mouths, we decide to exercise, we decide what lifestyle we should live. You are blaming outside entities and their corruption. Im sure you are right about their actions, but it says nothing about our responsibilities.

How do you get through to some one who is poor and un-educated and in poor health. Single payer will fix one issue.

But he will just continue eating mc donalds everyday because its cheap and all that he can afford.

Better education and cheaper healthier foods is also part of the solution.

Blaming poor un-educated people for poor health is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

and putting a monetary value on it doubles the insult to injury.

Treat poor people with decency and respect. How countries treat the least says alot about their morales and culture.

And blaming outside entities dor our eating habits is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. We already have health programs for the poor (medicaid). Why do wen need to cover 350 million people just because we have poor people that already have programs.

How can poor people take responsibility for their own health if they dont know any better? You love these circular arguments dont you.

Also they arent outside when they directly effect the food on your table.

So you pay them a minimum wage of 7$ an hour, charge a ton of money for post secondary school education. Load them up with medical bill debts.

But yet at the same time they are suppose to make and buy healthy foods and know to exercise and get good rest?

Cons dont make any sense

Infact

Why dont you blame every poor kid who sits hungry because his family cant afford lunch

Why arent u learning, TAKE CHARGE AND GET BETTER GRADES

When he cant even concentrate because of his stomach pains

Thats what your asking right now.

We don't decide to take in the pollutants that are out in the environment from corporations and lax environmental laws.

DO you decide to put bovine hormones into US milk?

https://www.mtlblog.com/news/5-reasons-why-american-milk-is-potentially-dangerous-for-canadians

Give you an idea

For example, a reduced count of SCC is associated with better quality milk. Often if the count is high, it means the cow might be sick. Our maximum allowable is 400,000. Our provincial average is well below this maximum at 205,000. In Canada, each load of milk is tested to ensure it’s below that standard. In the USA, the national standard is 750,000, but the export standard is 400,000.

Somatic Cell Count (SCC)

Your government decided on 750k

People who exercise regularly, such as myself, drink the same milk they do. You libs do this crap all the time. Shift blame from the individual, and onto some evil corporation.  Same old song and dance.

So there are no victims here

Everyone who is poor deserves to be poor and its wholly their fault correct? And if they are sick its 100% their fault.

Typical Cons

You guys dont want to give an inch when you dont even realize how lucky many Americans have it and are "Successful" due to circumstances "beyond" their control.

And many of these are Christian die hards that are even hypocrites to their own belief system. Jesus hung out with the sinners and the poor, not the rich and the powerful.

2 Corinthians 8:9 (NIV)

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”

“learn to do right; seek justice. defend the oppressed.take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.” isaiah 1:17

Instead u sit here complaining about not wanting to pay for poor peoples healthcare.

So sad, so lost the american culture/morality has gone.

You're going to bible thump me? Lol. You see how you are trying to dodge and deflect? The OP is about healthcare costs increase due to poor American lifestyles, and you bring it around to poor people. Poor people smoke and drink just as much as the rich. You libs just refuse to answer questions that are not aligned with your agenda. Sad.

Your idea of morality is to steal from one and give to the other. Stealing is moral to you? Stealing? Who the fuck raised you?

And i addressed the point of poor american lifestyles are because or poor choices based on their environment/education and access to healthcare.

You tell me why so many americans are obese and lead unhealthy lifestyles then. I gave you reasons you gave me none. You keep talking about its their own responsibility. So what is the cause. American DNA?? White DNA?? Comeon u know why they lead unhealthy lifestyles. Poor choices based on circumstance

A lot of Americans live unealthy lifestyles because they are lazy. Poor people smoke and drink just as much as the rich. We love to party here. We love excess food.  We love sex , drugs, and rock and roll. We love all the different culutural foods that are here like Mexican food, chinese food, italian food, and of course good old American food like bacon, cherseburgers, steaks, and extra extra and even more extra fries...covered in chile and cheese. Its just the culture here. Its the fault of the individual and the choices we make. Alot of people here can choose a healthy lifestyle just as much as an unhealthy one. It all depends on how each person wants to spend their money.  It has nothing to do with some evil corporations or some abstract boogyman in the sky that is orchestrating all this. Supply and demand. If americans didnt demand it, do you think the corporations would supply it? Of course not.

Default answer: "Well everybody else does it...derrrrr....derrrr....if everybody else does it...derrrrr...then we should too...derrrr....derrrr."

Well this has been debunked so many times its ridiculous that you keep using it. You guys remind me of the flat-earthers. Their theories have been debunked so many times already, but they are still flat-earthers anyway. On to my question. A large part of Europe and the Nordic countries are generally healthy people, not due to their healthcare system. It's due to their diet, exercise, and overall lifestyle. They walk or bike from place to place, Their portions are about a third of ours, and the food itself is real food. It's healthy. Thus they are healthy...thus, they don't need as much healthcare...thus, the expense of healthcare is lower. Well, I don't know if you retards have noticed, but Americans are generally unhealthy. Not because of our healthcare system or private insurances, but because of our diet and lack of exercise. Now I am talking generally obviously, not everybody. We Americans love our pizza, beer, cigs, fast food, and enormous portions. We are one of the most obese nations in the world.

Question: With that said, has it ever occurred to you butt-plugs that the expense for healthcare to cover 350 million, with more than half being obese and unhealthy, people might ...just maybe...be a little problematic in affording the healthcare costs for all that?

For someone with a positive screening stool test, the target is to have a colonoscopy performed within eight weeks or 60 days of a positive result; however, wait times vary considerably across Canada, with many waiting twice as long as recommended, ranging from 104 to 151 days.

These RETARDS don't understand they're paying for access to specialists and expensive medical equipment. Through single payer, healthcare will now be forced to be rationed with the extra 20-30 million or more Americans added to the system and without hefty co-pays we'll see a repeat of the rampant ER abuse threatening to bankrupt states.

Half a year or longer wait to get a colonoscopy with a positive cancer screening in Canada......

We spend twice as much and have easily twice as fast access to specialists, specialized procedures and specialized medical equipment like MRI's and CT scans.

What's important to them is that more successful people are FORCED to pay for their healthcare. They don't care what actually happens to healthcare as a result.

Exactly. They take this front about we should become a more compassionate nation who takes care of each other. Bull. They could care less. They hate rich and successful people, so they want to steal from them. That's it. Nothing more.
