The Superbowl: four hours of loud pregame blathering and ads, three hours of loud post game blathering and ads, and sixty minutes of guys who dress alike with numbers on their backs fiddling with a ball that does not bounce.

Circus for the masses filled with sound, fury beer, manly perfume and truck  commercials, signifying nothing. The Soviets never managed to devise more popular distractions for the unthinking masses.

Liberal College Faculty Lounge: A bunch of Academic Communists, empowered by the authority given to them over the work of others, plotting how to better run an Adult World they do not live in, and would starve to death without the American Taxpayer, and the Government.

A valuable perspective.

Ha!
