Why does the Constitution give the House full authority to Impeach and the Senate full authority to hold the trial?

Why not have both chambers for one proceeding?

I think we're seeing the reason right now, lefty.

Because that's the way it was written into the Constitution.

I give you the chance and you fail.

It's the same idea behind the Electoral College... so that one group doesn't hold all the power.

Of course you are too stupid to understand that, but I figured I would try.

Because the Framers knew that you idiots would eventually advance a purely partisan impeachment.

Impeachment is partisan by design.

Seriously?

I seem to recall that it was REPUBLICANS going to Nixon that convinced him to resign by telling him they'd impeach him if they didn't.

That doesn't sound partisan.

Of course, what democRATS are now doing clearly is, lefty.

All Democrats will vote for Impeachment.

I'd challenge you to put your money where your mouth is, but we both know you would be like Sane and mainbitch and break your word, when  you lost a bet.
