Jobs Report Presents Terrible News For Democrats As They Push Forward On Partisan Impeachment

Recommended Posts

For the Democratic Party, the better the economy, the more difficult it will be for them to succeed in their primary goal: to dethrone Donald Trump in 2020. In that light, the latest jobs report presents a bunch of very bad news for the party so desperate to see Trump go down. That the excellent economic news comes one day after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that her party was officially moving forward on drafting articles for their entirely partisan impeachment — public support for which has been waining — doesn’t help.

Just how good for the American people/bad for the Democrats are the November jobs numbers? Here are the highlights of the expectations-smashing figures via Yahoo Finance:

The U.S. economy added far more jobs than expected in November and the joblessness rate edged down to a 50-year low, as the domestic labor market continued to fire on all cylinders. …

Change in non-farm payrolls: +266,000 vs. +180,000 expected and +156,000 in October

Unemployment rate: 3.5% vs. 3.6% expected and 3.6% in October

Average hourly earnings month over month: +0.2% vs. +0.3% expected and +0.4% in October

Average hourly earnings year over year: +3.1% vs. +3.0% expected and +3.2% in October

That 3.5% overall unemployment rate matches the lowest figure in 50 years, dating back to 1969.

Don't worry the dems are going to Turn this Sinking ship around!!

Have you asked your neighbors how they are doing in the Trump economy? Biden said he doesn't look at those numbers that are lies and can't find anyone who is doing better.

"President Trump has inherited an economy that set a record Friday with 77 consecutive months of job growth, or, as he put it, a mess.”

The bad news for Trump is that there isnt much he can do to speed this up.

Infrastructure spending would certainly help, but that's reportedly been pushed off for at least a year, and, given Republican priorities, might not happen at all. Tax cuts for the rich, meanwhile, don’t have much bang for the buck, stimulative-wise.

Other than that, it’s not an exaggeration to say that the extent of his economic policymaking has been taking credit for business decisions that companies had already made, in some cases years ago. That might get a lot of retweets, but it wont create any jobs.

The good news for Trump, though, is that there isnt much he can do to slow this down, either. The economy has its own momentum, and it’s hard to see what could knock it off.

Impeachment is always partisan. Is this a new concept for you?!

wingdinger thank you for not shunning me BUT it wasn't for Nixon. (if it had come down to it)

I wanna see the Pee Tape...do you know when will it be released ?

Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) said that "something close" to the long-rumored “pee tape” exists, saying ''it's likely Putin has something on President Trump."

Well than hold the lettuce:

Also...when it comes to Federal Judges:

(eg) Judge G. Thomas Porteous of Louisiana guilty on four articles of impeachment on Wednesday, which will remove him from the federal bench.

The Senate adopted the motion barring Porteous from holding a future federal office by a vote of 94 to 2.
