I May Stay Home If Biden Wins The Democratic Nomination

No.  Let me be clear about that - his policies are utter nonsense to me.  I am pro-freedom, individualism, less government, and personal independence.  This means that I applaud those who are successful and do not want them penalized because a segment of society are failures.  I likewise believe in allowing certain societal failures to founder and live in misery without permitting the government to tax productive citizens to sustain these people.  So, there will not be much that Bernie and I would ever agree on.  His policies are clownish and over-the-top filled with nonsense.

Still, Bernie Sanders is a clownish old fool and his looks and mannerisms completely match the way I feel about his ideals on political governance.  The two just happen to go hand-in-hand with him.

Get off your high horse. You are PRO GREED, and  think genocide is a nifty idea.

Does it really matter what I am?  Are you still of the mindset that by attacking me for what you do not like about me, you are somehow denigrating the well-reasoned position I set forth against Bernie Sanders?  We were discussing Bernie Sanders and why I feel his clownish appearance matches his clownish politics and policies.

I do not think Bernie has much of a chance. If he is the nominee, I will sure as Hell vote for him.

Trump is the most clownish-looking president we have ever had. His baggy suits, his dangling too long neckties, his weird hair and the lifts in his shoes all make him clownish. He does not stand up straight, the lifts make him slant forward, better to loom threateningly over anyone he speaks to.

He is functionally illiterate and does not seem to have ever read an entire book in his whole life.

He looks like one of Dick Tracy's freakish bad guys.

I'm sure you would - that's the kind of person you are.  But, I say with 100% absolute certainty, Bernie will not be the nominee and he will never be President.   The man talks, acts and looks like some silent-movies clown.

If the choice is between Biden and Trump or Buttigieg and Trump, Trump is  by far the worst. You are not punishing the Democrats by not voting for the Democratic candidate, you are punishing yourself and the entire nation-- not to mention the planet.  I do not expect that healthcare will be immediately enacted, I think there will be a gradual program to provide it.

I do not oppose Warren's wealth tax, which I find quite fair. But I do not think she would get it through Congress.

hey, you quoted the wrong person, That was Will Franklin who posted that

Im curious, how is Warren's wealth tax fair?

and yes she will never get it through Congress.

So you're conceding that Trump is going to win no matter who is nominated?

I thought the goal for you leftists is to defeat Trump at all cost, abstaining from voting doesn't strengthen your case Will

And now you know why Trump won in 2016, the goal for some was to make sure Hillary wasn't elected, sure some were Trump fans, but in the end thanks to Hillary bad campaigning, her rhetoric and such , she got her ass handed to her.

My mother who isn't a fan of Trump voted for Trump because she understood the alternative wasn't great with Hillary, my neighbor a third wave feminist who cant stand Trump, but despises Hillary even more didn't vote and if she did vote she would have voted for Trump over Hillary as most people sees Hillary as she really is

LOL. The far-left (cult of BS) helped Trump win in 2016 and morons like Franklin are going to do the same in 2020.

These are anti-liberals. They hate everything about liberal democracy. Pushing American politics to populist extremes in totally in their interest.

The far-left relishes division, anger, and chaos. They seek to create conditions where political irrationality prevails. Reason and rage do not coexist well.

HRC did not have "her ass handed to her," she got over 3 million more votes than Trump. But in critical states the "Our Revolutionaries" in the cult of BS  withheld their votes because they wanted Trump to win. This was deliberate and premeditated.

It will not work in 2020. Biden is widely popular and everyone sees Trump for the vile individual that he is.

Franklin is a Trump-enabling moron. That will not change.

Scum of the earth.

Bill

A level playing field means people are allowed to succeed and fail.  You want the government to prop up those who perpetually fail.  That is not a "level playing field".  Let freedom ring and let the people go forth and attempt to succeed beyond their wildest imaginations!  And, let those who are destined to fail be naturally culled from procreating more failures. That's all I want.  Unnatural bias against race has no place in this.

Level playing field will make the unsavory ones -that you wealthy white Christians don't like- actually succeed.

Reality is your backwards.

You Socialists think you have the answer to "leveling the playing field".  However, the reality of that is you simply want to use such techniques to punish successful people you do not like, and siphon off their success to sustain unproductives.  Let the playing field naturally level over time.  Let the winners beget more winners and the losers be economically neutered and eventually culled. This is how we as a nation, as a people actually evolve.  Sustaining unproductive leaches is counter-evolutionary.

What if all citizens were able to forget worrying about health coverage for the rest of their lives?

Let's start debating this.

Let's start debating this.

So, what you are actually saying is that all citizens (by "citizens", I am assuming that you are excluding illegal aliens, green card holders, etc), without any form of discrimination will have free, unlimited, on-demand health care - of the highest quality medically available in the world.  Even those citizens who are obese.  Who do recreational drugs.  Who vape.   Who smoke.  Who drink alcohol.  Who ride motorcycles without helmets.  Who are suicide risks.  Who have lots of unprotected sex.  And, even those who commit armed robbery, rape and murder.  Because, we can't discriminate.

So, you expect me (a healthy person who takes care of himself), to contribute copious funds to a welfare agency designed to care for those people (the ones I named above) who I think are worthless slugs?  See, that is really what you are attempting to impose upon of me.  You want to force me to use a portion of the productive time I have on this planet to take care of those who could care less about taking care of themselves.  Alternatively, you want to engage a panel of bureaucrats to discriminate - i.e. to determine who is worthy of getting premium health services and which slugs or old people should be allowed to die.

Here is a novel idea - how about we all worry about taking care of ourselves!  Everyone would pay for their own healthcare, to the level that they want it or can afford it.  That way none of us are being enslaved by others and forced to care for them.  I am against all forms of slavery - I would hope you are too.

Depends on whether or not Dems win back the Senate. It would only require a majority vote of 51. The same way the tax cut scam passed. Of course its a reconciliation vote, and expires in ten years, unless it gets another 51 votes. But the tax cut scam faces the same scenario. Even if it made it to 2028, by then the Republicans will not have a favorable scenario, with the majority of voters being Millennial, and Generation Z.

Whether or not her policy is fair depends on the details. I would go much further, and completely roll back the tax cuts back to 70's era tax and regulatory policy, impose a 2 cents tax on every Wall St Transaction, raise the Social Security tax  income limit to $10 million, cut the retirement age back to 62, and create a national healthcare system.

This would protect all generations of Americans going forward, not ever having to worry about being under the thumb of bankers, corporations, insurance companies, and the obscenely wealthy. They would have no choice but participate on a level playing field, and even in the case they do lie cheat and steal, the regulations, tax laws, and regulations are now in place to protect the working class.

You could easily become disabled, or very sick, or both.

You never think about possibilities until they happen to you?

Where would your private insurance possibly leave you in *many* cases?

Please to point out that corporate profits are 8 trillion a year in this country.

First off, she proposes a 2% annual wealth tax on people with $50 million and over.

No one gets $50 million as a result of hard work or super clever ideas. They attain this though luck or having some sort of monopoly. And anyone with over $10 million has every possible thing that anyone could need.

Having $50,000,000 when others musty simply DIE if they cannot afford treatment is unfair. Taxing it makes it less unfair.

I think that would work as well.

I have always planned for this contingency.  I am a planner and a saver; and have been since I was a little boy.

That's right, because I think of (and plan for) this inevitability (not just a possibility) long before such a thing ever happens.

Not in a very good place, I'm afraid.  Not if I could no longer pay the premiums or afford to pay outright for medical services.

But, you did not answer anything I posted.  Why should people who work hard at leading healthy lives be forced to care for those who live as obese or drug-addicted slugs?  Why shouldn't individuals be required to plan for their own futures?  And, why should others be forced to take a concern about those who "live for today" and fail to plan or save for their own futures?

Let me catch the 5 o'clock news.

I have worked hard, healthy, almost all of my life and have no problem helping others. That is how God set up nature and the government should not fight it. Stupid Christians.

How would life work if there was no intellectual designer, just perpetual balancing of universal balancing between contracting combinations and arrival of details never duplicated again using the same content recycled between inorganic and organic constructs so far?

Intellect is secondary after birth to navigate one's position while simultaneously alive when spontanously here conception to dead.

Theorize your way out of that one Will Franklin. Dare recite human behavior historically practiced doing it.
