Olivaw Posted November 8 The real story of GOP losses in 2017, 2018 and 2019 is the suburban shift from red to blue. Trump has reoriented the Republican Party toward the priorities and grievances of non-college-educated, evangelical, and rural whites. In so doing, he lost white-collared urban, suburban and, to an increasing extent exurban votes. Quote Amid all the various local factors that shaped GOP losses—from Kentucky to Virginia, from suburban Philadelphia to Wichita, Kansas—the clearest pattern was a continuing erosion of the party’s position in the largest metropolitan areas. Across the highest-profile races, Democrats benefited from two trends favoring them in metro areas: high turnout in urban cores that have long been the party’s strongholds, and improved performance in white-collar suburban areas that previously leaned Republican. https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2019/11/republican-party-suburbs-kentucky-virginia/601504/ Republican strategists are deeply concerned. They know that Trump will cost them the Senate in 2020 but they are powerless to do anything about it.

Democrats can win both the White House and the Senate but the Senate is more important. Trump is largely ineffective, at least domestically. McConnell is the politician inflicting the most damage to the country. He needs to be stopped.

I made a post on this a couple weeks ago that was scorned by other conservatives but I know better. There aren't enough whites to maintain the republican voting bloc. Soon they will be minority voters. The republican party is over.

kfools Posted November 9 Just now, dontlooknow said: No a con man can be any color. Suburban demographics are suffering from white flight. A very real phenomenon. Michael Obama was just talking about it. We all know it's true. Whites are leaving city's in droves. They are being rapidly replaced with Minorities. It's in their best interest to support Democrats and in White's best interest to support Republicans. Pretty easy really.
