Not one Democrat candidate has a hope of beating Trump

Recommended Posts

Except maybe Sanders. Which makes me puke to say. He is about it. He won't be the nominee so I guess who cares?

Biden will get his azz kicked on the debate stage. He can't really go after Trump on immigration because his administration did pretty much the same kinds of things which he was called out on last night. Dems want single payer not Obama care so he will lose there to.

Warren has a better shot of being the nominee but Trump will fake Indian her to death, and drive right over her on the debate stage which is what Dems are doing right now.

Beto has no chance. In fact none of them have a chance of being the nominee except Warren and Biden. Or so I see it.

Agreed. Its too late for an economic slowdown (which has not yet occurred) to affect his chances.

I can't understand why they are running such lousy candidates.

I have no insights to offer either. The current candidates are all too flawed to pose a true threat.

The economy is literally on fire.

They need a candidate who is somewhat moderate like Biden but not losing his faculties and one with enough energy/zeal to take on Trump. The others are glorified used car salesmen that can't even keep their BS straight.

Why are there no viable democratic candidates?

All of them are preferable to Trump

You ignore the fact that Trump is an ignorant, lying, corrupt thief.

And you ignore the fact that a large percent of the voters do not follow politics even 1% as closely as you do. They will vote for him based purely on two things 1) Economy is doing well according to most metrics  2) He is memorable even if not for the right reasons.

He is memorable as an ignorant A-hole that argues with Weather Bureau and NASA.

He barely won in those four states and is unlikely to repeat his performance.

I can't really answer that. What is your take on it?

The best and brightest humans avoid politics like the bubonic plague. The field is left to charlatans, lazy hacks, liars, and thieves.

Being correct, knowledgeable, etc is not the same as memorable.

Being memorable is not the same as being respected. Trump will lose.

The most astute thing I've read here in some time. However, I am slightly inebriated. :D
