SO, HERE'S THE WARDEN OF THE JOINT WHERE EPSTEIN KILLED HIMSELF. NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE GROSS INCOMPETENCE THAT ALLOWED IT TO OCCUR?

Recommended Posts

The Bureau of Prisons is not known for attracting quality employees or administrators. As a former federal law enforcement official I can tell you that they are considered bottom of the barrel in law enforcement circles. They are even one step below Veteran Affairs.

Incompetence starts at the top.

As I said, "it is unwise to assume conspiracy when incompetence is a possible explanation." This is non partisan incompetence. The jailers do  not know how to run a jail. No one consults the prisoners, many of whom are more aware of what is going on then the warden and the guards.

As an institution it has for many decades been problematic and as I said seems to attract bottom of the barrel employees. I don't believe standards and training are at a particularly high level and never have been. It may be different at like for instance the supermax but I have no direct knowledge with that particular situation

I wonder what the Warden's qualifications were and who got her that job?

In a situation like that it's not what you know it's who you blow anyone with any real talent would only use the b o p for a very quick and I mean very quick stepping stone to something better.

Im surprised that so many are pretending to care about Epstein now that he has passed away.

Tell me you wouldn't spend $10 to see the this mystery unfold on the big screen!  Talking about Epstein is a lot more fun than talking about boring Russian Collusion.

I would not spend $10. Reason being that my skepticism meter is cranked up far too high. When it comes to politics, there is so much misinformation and BS that is hard for me to take much of it seriously. What I would see on the big screen would most likely just be more fabricated, fill in the blanks, subjective garbage.

Prisons and jails are are by and large managed by people who are untrained in the subject.

Criminal justice degrees, like sociology, are among the easiest type of degrees to get: pretty much like what Physical Ed degrees used to be. No math, and few writing and language skills required, and grades are based almost entirely on scores on multiple choice exams.

who cares, the pedophile is dead, he shouldn't even be breathing the same oxygen as us

He is worm food now, may he burn in hell and I hope he left a ledger naming all the other pedophiles

I for one dont give a rats ass if he took his own life, or was whacked.

So be it and good riddance, I hope he suffered tremendously

I know. You should make it a new Democrat platform issue to have all of our prisons run by people who are trained in prisons and jails.  Bernie Madoff  has substantial experience in this subject, I'm sure you would support him for Prison Warden.

sure they will , the POS is dead, and suffered, justice is never quite fair and as long as the scum isnt breathing the same air, Im good with it.

The icing on the cake will be if they come forward and sue the estate, it wont make up for their anguish but it might give them a tiny bit of comfort.

The only thing I care about is I hope the pedophile POS left some type of ledger detailing the names of the other pedophiles, whether he blackmailed them or not .

and if we can get more of those Scum POS off the street, its worth it.

Few are crying for Epstein but many wonder what secrets he took to the grave.

Madoff is quite smart, but he is a scheming crook, so no.

By "people trained in prisons and jails" I mean people trained in effective reform of criminals into useful and productive citizens.

I taught college classes at Dade Correctional for three years, and one of my ex-colleagues is a professor of Criminal Justice.

Prison reform is not a subject that will ever determine the winner of a presidential election or probably any other sort of election.

However, the PURPOSE of a System of Corrections is to teach criminals how to become successful as honest citizens, and to lower the rate of recidivism.

The Europeans seem to be far ahead of us on this.

There is a lot to be learned from the Epstein case. Someone will surely write a decent book about it.

Someone other than Alan Derschowitz, I would think.

Until you are a victim of something like this- you don’t understand how important closure is.

I understand, but keeping him alive for what reason?

How is jailing this guy bringing closure to the victims?

The reality is , no two victims are alike, if this guy was convicted and sent away for life, some victims would not find closure in that.

Some victims will find closure as he is no longer breathing.

There is no 100% justice or closure, I wish there was, I feel for the victims, I wish I could give them a big hug just to let them know we stand behind them

And as for victims I have known victims over the years, two of them who are not with us today as they took their own lives

I have no love for pedophiles and if they suffer, too bad, as in for this POS Epstein that fact that he is dead and burning in hell is great news

I think his ignominious I'm cowardly death is pretty much closure... Doesn't get any more closed than that

Going to court , having him on the stand being able to see him be held accountable. I don’t know. It just seems as though there are to many stones left unturned in this situation. It just sucks. Period
