License to own a gun?

What do you all think? Should you have a license to own a gun?

GO!

No. Never.  I am guaranteed the right to own any gun I want, as many of them as I want and as much ammo as I want, by the Constitution.  No license.  No test.  It's a right, not a privilege.  Licenses are for privileges.

License.

Background check to get said license.

If former military a mental health check.

Yearly tax on every gun owned.

Tax on ammo.

I.D. to be shown when buying ammo.

Criminal charges if that gun is used in a crime.

Do you support a license to write an article or to post on a forum?

It was a nice touch to DICK former military like that.

  I aim to please.

How about you must be 21 to purchase a gun or ammo.

Renew the license every year.

D.N.A. collected and put into a national database when purchasing a gun.

Background check including social media posts.

Answer my question. Should you have a license to post on forums or write articles voicing your opinion?

I just did.

Guns kill.

You're still alive after reading my posts.

No you didn't.  You directly avoided my question. You gave me a reason to support licenses for guns. Now answer the question. Should we have licenses to voice our opinions?

license and registration just like a car exaclty like a car and second amendment be damend thats such  a stupid usless argument its like saying because a said so or i have a right to free ice cream

you have no rights

In general Carlin is an idiot leftist but he is right on this. And it is the left, the same side he is on that wants to remove rights.

The press, including online forums, can be used to start a war, and over throw governments.

Look at what the Russians did on Facebook during the 2016 election.
A license is certainly more called for when expressing opinion than in defending yourself

GO!

It is called registrating at point of legal purchase which goes to ATF agency. Government knows where the honest people have guns.

How dense are you?

You cannot answer the question because you know your argument is a failure. If one right has to hav a license, then all do. Also they are not rights if the government "allows" you to have a right via a license.

Your inability to debate is pathetic! Get off this board.

Free speech never killed anyone, yet there are still limits. The SCOTUS agrees. There's some ex military that are pretty fvked up. They shouldn't own a firearm or be a police officer.

Are they both rights? Yes they are.

Speech has started wars. You dummy. So yes it has.

It's  scary how you leftists don't care about rights. That is a hallmark of the left. You don't have rights, except what the STATE allows you to have. Leftism always results in misery and death.

Registration is not the same as a license.

legal and illegal aren't the same either.  Why do the law abiding/civil natured people pay for criminal activity one way or another?. Fighting crime shouldn't inconvience the honest people.

this whole isuue is just a means to make work funded by taxation to support those not taking care of themselves in a civil social responsible way.
