Checking the historical inflation rates,

it might be noticed that double digit inflation often follows periods of high national debt.

High national debt, that often was the result of war.

Inflation, in effect, reduces the debt.

The dollar has less actual value.

The GDP increases, simply because things cost more, until the sales drop.

The tax revenue increases.

People's "investment" gains, and their savings, disappear.

We may expect this type of correction.

0-9 equal 10 spaces as 1-10 but intellect doesn't give fractions equal value of a whole as society steals 0-1 point of origin to all things being spaced apart now simultaneosuly here on the universal scale while everyone here argues semantics of 24/7 contrived facts that amounts to everyone was played an idiot for 7,000years.

personal responsibility is to recognize your own value as one of a kind being eternally sorted apart now.

In April 2018, in an attempt to pay for these tax cuts, House Republicans passed a budget amendment that would cut Medicare funding by $537 billion. Trump’s 2019 Budget includes additional Medicare cuts of over $850 billion.

The Trump economy is on the credit card to be repaid with interest and has no measurements significantly better than Obama's.

You dodged my question... as expected.   You can’t escape the fact that Obama economy was propped up by QE for years and years.

then you go to the deficit while avoiding Obama’s massive record debt.

all you libs lie..   Trump revoked Obamanomics, and unleaded our economic might.

The Trump economy would fall apart, without government spending support.

Thats silly.   Government spending is what it is.  Year in and out.

Obama inherited the Great Recession. That affected deficits during his first term. It also prompted the QE.

His second term he was able to control the deficit more and the deficit got down to 438 Billion.

Now Trump has the deficit back over a trillion dollars a year with NO RECESSION as an excuse.

So all of this "wonderful" Trump economy (which isn't registering any better) will have to be repaid with interest.

Before Reagan, the government attempted to manage the economy through spending.

Reagan created the "borrow, spend, and lend, and pretend it is success" mantra.

G. W. Bush pushed it to the breaking point.

Capitalism died many years ago.

Ever since Reagan, the GOP has been run by people who want a much smaller government. In the famous words of the activist Grover Norquist, conservatives want to get the government “down to the size where we can drown it in the bathtub.”

But there has always been a political problem with this agenda. Voters may say that they oppose big government, but the programs that actually dominate federal spending — Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security — are very popular. So how can the public be persuaded to accept large spending cuts?

The conservative answer, which evolved in the late 1970s, would be dubbed “starving the beast” during the Reagan years. The idea — propounded by many members of the conservative intelligentsia, from Alan Greenspan to Irving Kristol — was basically that sympathetic politicians should engage in a game of bait-and-switch. Rather than proposing unpopular spending cuts, Republicans would push through popular tax cuts, with the deliberate intention of worsening the government’s fiscal position. Spending cuts could then be sold as a necessity rather than a choice, the only way to eliminate an unsustainable budget deficit.

The "starve the beast" philosophy ignores the other government welfare system.

It is called the military.

I hate anyone that comes for my entitlements that I paid for. And much worse they are raiding them to pay for the tax cuts which mostly went to the wealthy and corporations.

But their voters think that they are voting on abortion and gays, and other issues that will probably never personally affect them.

They have little or no clue how the economy functions.

The  recession was over in April 2009...  fixed by  W. before he  left.  Obama  then  stagnated and smothered the  recovery for the  next  8 years with  his taxes, regulations and  anti-capitalist  left wing  experiments that all failed.  Obama had the  weakest   2 term economy in history.
