Proposed new requirements to receive taxpayer money.

Recommended Posts

Some are proposing a requirement that anyone receiving welfare or public assistance must take a urine test to qualify.

Makes sense, many taxpayers, both gov't and private, required to take a spot urine test to get, qualify and retain their jobs. Shouldn't the same requirement be applied to those who are taking that taxpayers money?

ie., URINE TO QUALIFY

      URINEATE TO TAKE

     URINE OR YOU ARE OUT.

There should be a drug test and other requirements.People who are living off of us should be supervised by us....meaning that they don't buy booze, dope or even junk food while we are purchasing their necessities. There should be a work requirement or other supervision of how they spend their time. We need some control over how their kids are being raised too. We don't need one dependent generation training another.  Independence is the result of earning your own way. We finance too many people while they lay around getting high and having more babies.

What about states where cannabis is legal? Are you going to test them for alcohol too?

The problem with all of those tests are the chemicals are all out of your system in 24-48 hours.

Except cannabis, which is legal in many states.  That can stay in your system for up to 90 days.

If they are talking about assistance from the federal government...that would be irrelevant.  Possession of cannabis is still a federal crime.

If the federal government ever decides to enforce the supremacy clause all those state laws would be void.

One can do cocaine, heroin, or any other dangerous drug and it's out of your system in 48 hours at the most.  You can go on a major bender and test negative two days later.

Marijuana, the least harmful drug, stays in your system for up to 90 days.

How would you address the inequity in that.

OK, so the parents do drugs.  Are you saying you'll happily starve the children of parents who do drugs?  I thought you were "pro-life..."    Or are you just "pro birth?"

My stance is if someone qualifies for assistance they should receive assistance.  End of.

Life is about the decisions we make and the consequences of those decisions.  If they parents CHOOSE to do drugs and cannot support the children without the assistance, then place the kids in the foster system.  Obviously the parents don't put them first anyway.

As for the last sentence...if a clean test is added as a qualifier, those people would no longer qualify.

It doesn't have anything to do with whether or not it's legal. If they need somebody else to pay the bills, they need somebody else to make the decisions.

I can tell you that upwards of 80-90% of patients seen in the ER for psych problems with Medicaid are positive for more than one drug.

No.

The parents should be given a fair amount of time to stop using, WITHOUT OUTSIDE HELP, ON THEIR OWN VOLITION.

In the meantime the kids would be housed elsewhere.

Do they fail ?

Kids permanently lost, no social security, left to fend on their own.

FUKK THESE JUNKIES !

Definitely not since I'm an intake coordinator and the one who gathers those labs for the doctor.....

I've literally seen medicaid patients who have been in the ED 30-40 times a years and positive for alcohol and various drugs every time.

Are you surprised your ideology enables drug user????

Truth hurts and compells asswipes like you to attack ad hominem.

Why don't you bring YOUR OWN stats from reliable sources instead, asswipe ?
