Just great. Another year or two of tearing the country apart by pitting one American against another.  And for what?  To try to get your own way, instead of reaching a mature compromise. This is nothing but harmful to the fabric of our society.

President Trump escalated his attacks on a Muslim member of Congress and “Radical Left Democrats” on Monday ahead of a reelection campaign that is quickly taking shape around divisive messages centered on immigration and patriotism.

Speaking Monday  Trump told a suburban Minneapolis audience “how unfairly you’ve been treated as a state” when it comes to immigration, and he rattled off a litany of grudges against the current system: The loopholes are “horrible and foolish,” the visa lottery is “insane,” and the concept of asylum is “ridiculous.”

“People come in, they read a line from a lawyer that a lawyer hands them out online,” Trump said at the event as he mimicked an asylum seeker reading from a piece of paper. “It’s a big con job. That’s what it is.”  The afternoon remarks came hours after he took a direct shot at one of the state’s members of Congress, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D) — whom Trump called “out of control” — as Omar continued to come under criticism for comments that critics view as dismissive of the tragedy of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

The Trump campaign, the White House and the Republican National Committee were all following the same playbook Monday. Early Monday morning, Trump fired off several tweets on unrelated subjects. The only thing they had in common was to sow division. The tweets included attacks on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), a demand for Congress to return to Washington to “FIX THE IMMIGRATION LAWS!” and a call to “INVESTIGATE THE INVESTIGATORS!” behind special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s report. Another tweet accused Rep.Omar of making “anti-Semitic, anti-Israel and ungrateful U.S. HATE statements.” In yet another, he complained: “The Radical Left Democrats will never be satisfied with anything we give them. They will always Resist and Obstruct!” At one point, Trump posted a tweet saying he agreed with the singer Cher, who had said she didn’t support Los Angeles taking in thousands of Central American migrants while the city faced poverty and homelessness.

Libocrats are some of the most hateful people in the Country.

For them to complain about divisiveness is complete hypocrisy, like just about everything else they do.

Too funny...you mooch off the liberals because you are poor and then have the nerve to call us divisive???

get a second job in your booming trump economy and raise your state and local taxes instead of taking from liberals .

and you call us hypocrites?

you are a joke. all you red staters need to get out of our wallets .

https://www.knoxnews.com/story/news/local/tennessee/2017/03/21/tennessee-ranks-among-most-dependent-states-on-federal-funding/99448034/

A new study suggests Tennessee isn't paying its way in America as the state's residents and government are taking more from the federal government than they're putting in.

The report is from WalletHub, a financial-advice website that also releases studies on economic and social issues affecting U.S. states and cities.

The new report, released today, figures Tennessee’s state government is the third most-dependent state on federal funding, a figure derived from the proportion of state revenue that comes from the federal government in the form of intergovernmental aid. It also estimates Tennessee residents are the 20th most-dependent on federal aid, which was calculated by dividing federal funding to state’s residents by IRS collections from state residents.

The study also says Tennesseans have the sixth-lowest tax rate in America.

Huh??? they have low taxes yet take billions from hard working liberals

drippy is another hypocrite take.

Progressives don't compromise. Thinking conservatives should borrow that prerogative. Abortion, euthanasia, gay lifestyle being taught to children, codified racism against whites. Think it's time there was some resistance to all this so called progress.

Isn't wealth redistribution by the government great?

That's why we're always trying to tell you that people should be able to keep their own earnings. Low taxes are good...lower taxes are better.

The "liberals" won't let us. They just keep taxing the hell out of everybody and doing what they want with the money.

You really shouldn't refer to them as "liberals". There is no liberty in progressivism.

I guess I agree with Trump...and we are divided.

Being divided is ok as long as the government isn't reaching too far. You stay on your side of the fence and I'll stay on mine. Unfortunately, that's not good enough for progressives. They want to force everybody to live their way. Then we can't just be divided. We have to fight.
