GREENPEACE CO-FOUNDER: ‘CLIMATE CRISIS IS NOT ONLY FAKE NEWS. IT’S FAKE SCIENCE’

Co-founder of environmental organization Greenpeace Patrick Moore said Tuesday that the climate change crisis driving much of liberal politics today “is not only fake news. It’s fake science.”

Moore also wondered during his appearance on “Fox & Friends” why people would be worried about global warming: “A little bit of warming would not be a bad thing, for myself being Canadian.”

Moore bounced back into the climate change debate last week in an online feud with New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after he blasted her Green New Deal for being not ambitious but ridiculous. (RELATED: Report: Rep. Ocasio-Cortez Has Violated Her Own Green New Deal)

“Well, it’s a silly plan; that’s why I suggested she was a pompous little twit, twit meaning silly in the British lexicon,” Moore told Fox, adding, “She really rubbed me the wrong way when she said she’s ‘the boss’ because she can make up a proposal that’s completely ridiculous, and nobody else did.”

Moore, who now sits as a director on the CO2 Coalition, a group of American and Canadian scientists who refute man-made climate change, says carbon dioxide is “the main building block of all life” and that it is good for the environment. “There is nothing to be afraid of.”

He doesn’t deny climate change. “Of course climate change is real: it’s been happening since the beginning of time but it’s not dangerous and it’s not created by people … a completely natural phenomenon.”

Moore questioned why so many scientists who promote a climate change crisis receive “perpetual government grants,” insist “the science is settled and say people like myself should just shut up. On the other hand, they keep studying it forever as if there’s something new to find out.”

The former Greenpeace director says the organization has been “hijacked by the extreme left.” (RELATED: Greenpeace Admits Anti-Logging Campaign Is Based On ‘Subjective Opinion’)

Getting back to the Green New Deal, Moore insisted the plan is a recipe for catastrophe: “You cannot do agriculture for 8 billion people, produce the food for 8 billion people without fossil fuels.”

Donald Trump spent Tuesday morning binge-watching Fox and excitedly tweeting out everything he saw. Honestly, it’s lucky America didn’t get an update about Matthew McConaughey’s driving choices, or those bears that use toilet paper. Instead Trump delivered something even more stupid — a tweet about how the “co-founder of Greenpeace” declared that climate change is “fake science” and that “carbon dioxide is the main building block of all life.

Even leaving aside the fact that carbon dioxide is not the building block of all life, the environmental expert Trump cites here was Patrick Moore — who has been getting another round of attention lately as a conservative darling. He’s beloved on the right not just for reliably railing against climate change, and the Endangered Species Act, and anything else where “even the founder of Greenpeace is against it!” would be handy, but also for calling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a "pompous little twit.” In fact, that insult alone was enough to get him a whole segment on Fox News.

But here’s the thing the “fair and balanced” network isn’t saying about their favorite Greenpeace founder. . . . He wasn’t a founder of Greenpeace. Moore was an early member, joining Greenpeace about a year after it started, but he’s no more a “founder” than everyone who worked at Apple or Google in their first year.

Moore didn’t stick with Greenpeace long, because he found a much more lucrative scam. Thirty-three years ago, he left the organization and created a “consulting group” (which seems to consist only of himself) named Greenspirit Enterprises. And what does Greenspirit do? Represent oil companies. And coal companies. And uranium mining companies. And pesticide manufacturers. And basically anyone who wants to take a massive dump on the environment while putting an arm around the guy who was “the founder of Greenpeace.”

As Greenpeace says, Moore was “not a co-founder of Greenpeace. He does not represent Greenpeace. He is a paid lobbyist, not an independent source.” Patrick Moore is this guy. The one who corporations bring in to “prove” whatever jackassery they’re up to is “safe.”

Had to try it twice it seems and yet still this whole article about the bogus green person misrepresenting the truth still stinks = typical conservative behavior going on 41 years.

The guy is disgruntled because they kicked his ass out of the organization. The only thing he has left is his name recognition in co-founding the group. Now, his every pathetic utterance diminishes whatever reputation he once had. Sad.

I'm suppose to take this guy's word over the entire world of scientists.

That's one hell of a conspiracy they've got going there.  Usually you get 4 or 5 people involved and somebody blabs before too long.  This is really impressive.  I totally believe it.  It must be true.

Fox is the only place to get the truth, you idiots are always quick to slander fox and yet you let CNN MSNBC, ABC, CBS NBC,WP, and the rest of the Trump hate media skate. This country has been cleaning up the environment for years, you want to blame somebody for  the environment look to China India Africa and Indo China. we spand Billions while the rest of the world contiues to polute.

Context for the minute average temperature change recorded: At any given time surface air temperatures around the world range over about 100°C. Even in the same place they can vary by nearly that much seasonally and as much as 30°C or more in a day. A minute rise in average temperature in that context is trivial if it is not meaningless altogether. Warmism is a money-grubbing racket, not science.

Warmism is prophecy, not science. Science cannot foretell the future. Science can make very accurate predictions based on known regularities in nature (e.g. predicting the orbits of the inner planets) but Warmism is the exact opposite of that. It predicts a DEPARTURE from the known regularities of nature. If we go by the regularities of nature, we are on the brink of an ice age.

If global warming really were as bad as the leftist doomsayers insist it is, then no policy imaginable could ever solve it.

No never take the word of people that know what their talking about.  It's one hell of a conspiracy the global warmist have shoved down the throats of the world one of the biggest hoaxes ever put on the world.

The left’s best chance to gain a stranglehold on our political system and economy.

For decades environmentalism have been the left’s best excuse for increasing governments control over our actions in a way both large and small. It’s for Mother Earth! It’s for the children! It’s for the Whales!

But until now the dooms day scenario environmental scares they’ve trumped up haven’t been large enough to give the sinister prize they want most of all: total control of American politics economic activity and individual behavior.

With global warming however greenhouse gasbags can argue that auto emissions in Ohio threaten people in Paris, and only global government can tackle such problems. National sovereignty? Democracy? Forget it: global warming has now brought the left to global government, statism, and the eradication of individual right’s than it has ever been before.

The left’s manipulation of environmental issues for political purposes—and lays out incontrovertible evidence for the fact that catastrophic man-made global warming is just more Chicken-

Little hysteria, not actual science.

Al Gore and his cronies among the media elites and UN globalists endlessly bleat that “global warming” is an unprecedented global crisis, they really think of it as a dream come true. It is the ideal scare campaign for those who are doing all they can to secure strict control over society, business, and the minutest details of individual life.

All BS!!!

50:1, In Other Words, a Slam Dunk

One of the greatest weaknesses of the climate campaign from the very beginning is that, even if the extreme warming forecast is correct, the long time horizon and the standard economic calculation of applying real world discount rates to future costs all pointed to the conclusion that it made much more sense to . . . do nothing right now. This is just one more reason why environmentalists are so hostile to economics; David Brower famously said that “economics is a form of brain damage.” (So just who’s “anti-science” now?)

There’s a terrific new website, the 50-to-1-video-project, that walks through the problem with the IPCC’s own economic analysis, The point is: carbon suppression is the least effective policy option for dealing with climate change. But of course, killing hydrocarbon energy is the real point of the exercise, not solving climate change, just as higher income taxes are not about helping the poor, but exacting liberal revenge on the prosperous.

Scientists questioning the accuracy of IPCC climate projections

These scientists have said that it is not possible to project global climate accurately enough to justify the ranges projected for temperature and sea-level rise over the 21st century. They may not conclude specifically that the current IPCC projections are either too high or too low, but that the projections are likely to be inaccurate due to inadequacies of current global climate modeling.

Scientists arguing that global warming is primarily caused by natural processes

Graph showing the ability with which a global climate model is able to reconstruct the historical temperature record, and the degree to which those temperature changes can be decomposed into various forcing factors. It shows the effects of five forcing factors: greenhouse gases, man-made sulfate emissions, solar variability, ozone changes, and volcanic emissions.[80]

These scientists have said that the observed warming is more likely to be attributable to natural causes than to human activities. Their views on climate change are usually described in more detail in their biographical articles.

Scientists arguing that the cause of global warming is unknown

These scientists have said that no principal cause can be ascribed to the observed rising temperatures, whether man-made or natural.

Scientists arguing that global warming will have few negative consequences

These scientists have said that projected rising temperatures will be of little impact or a net positive for society or the environment.
