trump's sons and elephant hunting

Recommended Posts

The Trump administration’s decision to loosen restrictions around the import of elephant trophies from Zimbabwe and Zambia has turned attention back to the president’s family’s own connection to the controversial sport.

Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump are prolific big-game hunters and during the 2016 campaign, images re-emerged of the pair on a 2011 hunting trip posing with animals they had killed on safari, including an elephant, a buffalo and a leopard.

Jines said he and his company are now dealing with the fallout and making sure people understand the "actual facts as opposed to the mischaracterization of the information on social media."

Jines said the elephants were killed in a designated safari area and was conducted in compliance with laws and regulations in both Zimbabwe and the U.S. He called the majority of the responses to the images "profane" and "threatening.

I would be very surprised if this company stays in business. the onslaught of negative comments on facebook is huge. many many people despise elephant hunting.

the slaughter of elephants is not what most people want including those who live in america.

We can only hope these b astards accidentally shoot each other ... BUT NOT FATALLY !

Having them live the rest of their lousy lives on a wheel chair, totally paralized from the eyes down would  be the most humane punishment for these scumbags.

Elephants are not endangered

The biggest risk they face is  POACHING  which is  very illegal.

Proper culling and game management has seen the elephant population double  since 1979

Why kill another living creature if you're not starving and the animal isn't attacking you?  There's no good reason.

There's actually two good reasons.

Game management and the local economies.

The authorities in those countries likely know what they're doing.

Why do you blame the innocent Covington student?  There's no good reason for it other than yer far left politics.

There is no good reason for elephant hunting. Local economies benefit more from photo safaris than from hunting safaris.

Zimbabwe is perhaps the most poorly run country on this planet.

it is a shame they go all the to africa just to kill.

elephants are very family oriented. they stay together for years.

killing just one of them breaks the hearts of all of them.

Proper management can help maintain healthy populations of both elephants and other animals.

But you don't get to dictate what is or isn't the "end of story".  You certainly don't get to decide who should be killed.

Legal hunting is good and it sounds like this was legal hunting...end of story. LOL

City people are some STRANGE critters.
