Doesn't matter what labels you propagandist apply to countries, what matters is the data.  The proof is in the pudding  https://www.ceicdata.com/en/indicator/venezuela/private-consumption--of-nominal-gdp

More evidence for you to deny exists.

Venezuela has the highest private consumption as % of gdp on the whole planet.  That is not socialism!  I don't care if you write socialism all over it, labels don't mean anything, except that you're a propagandist seeking to distort.

did you read the part where I said Not your typical socialism as described by Marx

Pan American socialism not traditional socialism

I agree that Hugo Chavez did improve life for Venezuela's poor. The US and the Saudis certainly made things worse, so I agree about that as well.

The most difficult problem in Latin America (or really, anywhere) is how to get the urban poor out of the slums of the cities into a productive life as successful farmers.

Costa Rica has been more successful than anyone else.

Lazaro Cardenas  and some of Mexico's other PRI presidents had some success with the ejido program and the Conasupo canasta program, which helped the poor improve their diets.

fake lies you just said

Really? Canada is a failed society? LOL Bullsh!t!

"First, it is important to realise that Chavez chose to call his transformative project "21st-century socialism", but Venezuela's economy remained market-based and private-sector dominated throughout his time in office.

Though the social economy and the public sector were heavily promoted - including through nationalisation - the private sector was expected to remain dominant, and it did. A centrally planned socialist economy like Cuba's was neither the aim nor the reality.

Second, part of the problem was always that oil-rich, hyper-consumerist Venezuela was the last place you would expect socialism to blossom - and these characteristics caused grave problems for the government."

The crucial role of oil in the international capitalist system makes oil-price volatility a central player in Venezuelan development, as Maduro has discovered to his cost.
