New Year's Eve in Quebec City

Recommended Posts

My wife and I regularly celebrate our anniversary - which is on December 31st - in the Petit Champlain neighborhood of Quebec City.  This year we really splurged and went to this restaurant for their special holiday tasting menu.  It was nine courses long and lasted about two and a half hours.  Absolutely STUNNING!  I highly recommend it for any foodies who really want to experience haute cuisine at its finest!

Char from Gaspésie glazed buttermilk and horseradish – King crabe,

celery and fennel, tarragon dressing

That sounds great.  I'll have the "Roasted duckling breast". 😊

Would you believe, I lived the first 40 years of my life in (mostly) Montreal and (7 years) Ottawa, but never once went to Quebec City?

The closest I ever got was camping in La Mauricie national park, about 100 miles away. I was 25; I wouldn't do that anymore. But if someone is young enough, that's a beautiful part of the world.

one of these days I want to make it to Quebec and the Atlantic provinces of Canada.

The bridge to PEI sounds like a fun experience!
