Yeah, Those weren't bad. Jack White's a cute lil bugger, very charismatic.

Both songs, good rhythms and beats and vocals. What category would these two bands be classified as?

Not rap, I think. Hip hop?

That Jack Black video "I'm Shakin'".... comes from the Blasters in 1981. It's straight-ahead rock 'n' roll, rockabilly.

He does a good job of it though. I'll have to look into him more.

YouTube doesn't let me embed that video, but you can find it here: https://youtu.be/hB2kogSjyQU

This one can be embedded, but there's nothing to look at.

"How do you like now" is also straight ahead rock.  Love it. Reminds me of 1980s Rolling Stones.

99 tears was a cool garage rock song.

Since I mentioned the Blasters, here they are from 1985:

I love artists like Jack White. I would say they are anti-establishment.  A tradition started by people like james dean. Rebels.

"Until they

rebel they won't be free. Until they are free they won't rebel" from the novel "1984"

If you look into white strips I would think they have a punk edge to all their leads and blues rhythm

I love this. I've got to look into him. He's learned a lot of lessons from the 60s 70s 80s and pushed them out better than they came in. There's even some Zappa in there.  F**kin' fantastic. What a talent. I love it.

For some reason, I was calling Jack White Jack Black. At least I didn't call him Jack Daniels.
