ARE TECH GIANTS WORKING TOGETHER TO CENSOR CONSERVATIVES? — Apple, YouTube and Facebook BAN Infowars on Same Day

Liberal Tech Giants Facebook, Twitter, Google-YouTube and Wikipedia have all stepped up their harassment of conservative publishers since the 2016 election.

The far left and Democrats understand that conservatives get their news from online publishers.

Since the election The Gateway Pundit found from traffic analysis that Facebook has eliminated 93% of traffic to top conservative websites.

** Twitter is shadowbanning and censoring conservative lawmakers and conservative publishers.

** Wikipedia is controlled by far left editors who are regularly accused of liberal bias.

** YouTube is shutting down conservative pages and demonitizing several others.

And a Gateway Pundit June study of top conservative news outlets found that Facebook has eliminated 93% of traffic to top conservative websites.

On Monday Facebook caved to the leftist media mob demanding censorship of InfoWars and permanently banned their page.

Facebook has permanently BANNED Infowars.
For unspecified "hate speech". They didn't even tell us what the offending posts were.
This sets a chilling precedent for free speech.

Also on Monday Apple removed Infowars podcasts.
CNBC reported:

Quote

Apple confirmed on Monday that it had removed five out of six podcasts, which includes Jones’ infamous “The Alex Jones Show” as well as a number of other InfoWars audio streams. The news was originally reported by BuzzFeed News.

It is interesting that Facebook and Apple would ban Infowars on the same day.

It makes you wonder if these tech giants are working together to throttle conservative content online?

And who is behind the scene pulling the strings?

DAMN RIGHT THEY ARE TRYING TO SILENCE CONSERVATIVES.

THIS IS WAR AND THEIR SIDE AT LEAST SEEMS TO UNDERSTAND THAT.

OUR SIDE BETTER START DOING SO.

OR IT WILL BE TOO LATE.

Actions Have Consequences: the Big Tech Crackdown On Infowars Will Cost Them Dearly

Speaking of Infowars, Alex Jones and conspiracy theories, what do you make of the fact that YouTube, Apple and Facebook decided to put the kibosh on Infowars in the exact same day? You know, sometimes those crazy tin foil hat conspiracy theorists are right. Here’s the deal: it’s a known fact that big tech companies like Apple, Facebook, Twitter and Google/YouTube are heavily left leaning. This is not a secret, nor a conspiracy theory, but an empirically proven fact, by their own admission, i.e. words and actions.

The harassment and censorship (via deplatforming, shadow-banning, massive algorithm-based decrease in social-media-driven traffic etc) of conservative publishers/websites and content creators (as in individuals with a blog or a social media account) by Google/YouTube, Facebook, Twitter et al has become blatantly obvious even for normies who only read Salon/Buzzfeed and watch CNN. The crackdown on conservatives aka “politically undesirable deplorables” is in full throttle since Donald Trump won the election back in 2016. Which is pretty hilarious. I mean, Alex Jones&friends have won the ideological battle with the left, and now, under Trump, or “in Trump’s America” to use a stupid cliche, right wingers  and conservatives are being heavily censored on the internet (see the dramatic case of the Daily Stormer) and social media, or get harassed and even beat up “in real life” by crazy mobs of mentally deranged leftists posing as social justice warriors; the truth is, these thing rarely happened under Obama, because conservatives and right-wingers generally speaking tend to respect the result of an election and they’re also not so much fond of protesting in the street or harassing people for their political views. Also, the mass media and big tech were happy with the Kenyan socialist in the White House, and so on and so forth.

Getting back to our Infowars/Alex “they turned the friggin’ frogs gay”  Jones story, this Monday was probably the most interesting day in the website’s long history. Mind you, Infowars has been on the “interwebz” since the beginning,  i.e. since 1999 if memory serves. Their “cringe conspiracy theories” to quote haters, are nothing new. What’s new is that they’re now a big alternative (and independent, which is very disturbing for the left)-news platform, with tens of millions of followers/listeners and they spread an anti-establishment message ,while being hardcore Trumpists. And that’s haram in 2018 in the US of A.

So, on Monday, Facebook and YouTube permabanned Infowars for unspecified “hate speech”, which is as Orwellian as it gets. I mean, they didn’t even tell Alex Jones what he did wrong, while taking the proverbial piss on him and his millions of followers. In the same day, Infowars podcasts were removed from the Apple Store. Basically, Alex Jones was banned by Google/YouTube and everything else (and their momma) in the same day. It’s a full shutdown. Well, except from Twitter. They’re still thinking at their next move probably, or Jack didn’t get the memo. We’ll see.

Here’s AJ take on the issue. Mind you, this video was uploaded on another YouTube channel, obviously:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eujugOy3QZ0

(BAC - See, now YouTube is censoring his content, too.)

Washington Post:

Quote

“Apple, Facebook, YouTube and Spotify took their most aggressive steps yet to penalize conspiracy theorist and prominent right-wing talk show host Alex Jones for violating their hate speech policies.”

All that’s left for Alex Jones to spread his message is his website, infowars.com, but considering the precedent with the Daily Stormer, the people who own Infowars’ domain registry can decide at any time to eject Alex Jones from the interwebz completely. That already happened and it will happen again if we allow for-profit corporations to decide who’s allowed on the internet and who isn’t.

If you ask me, what happened today with Infowars and Alex Jones is not a bad thing, but a wake-up call for conservatives, right wingers and freedom lovers generally speaking. Infowars is a high profile website and Alex Jones is a rock-star in terms of mainstream conservative news. Even Donald Trump went on his show during the 2015 campaign:

Obviously, the original is not there anymore, but someone re-uploaded it. Enjoy it while you can. Now, why is this a good thing? Remember Trump’s tweet. He used the word illegal:

And here’s Nunes:

Consider this: we’re living in interesting times, when it’s basically impossible to openly be a Trump supporter and/or a conservative on the internet, or worse, in real life. And yes, between Facebook, Google/YouTube, Twitter, Apple and Microsoft plus a handful of other companies, there’s not much “internet” left. This is called an oligopoly or a trust.

Big tech companies are literally forcing the “feral gummint” to step in for the kill. And Trump doesn’t even require the Congress to pass legislation to regulate free speech on the internet, nor him passing an exec-order, that would be instantly blocked by an Obama appointed activist leftist judge. No, he only has to sic FCC’s Ajit Pai on big-tech, i.e. to ask him to write regulations that de-facto tech-monopolies would have to respect under the First Amendment in the US Constitution. Just wait and see it happen, and remember where you read it first.

The fact that major tech companies acted in concert in regard to banning Infowars on their platforms in the same day proves they’re in cahoots, or colluding, as  Robert Mueller would put it, and I am very sure we’ll see action soon from the POTUS. Big tech is now openly meddling in the elections. This aggression will not stand.

Way back when,

newspapers were expected to verify their sources,

meaning that lies were not printed,

because it was not ethical.

It was even said that the average American didn't even know that FDR suffered from polio,

because it was something that the news reporters decided not to report,

because it didn't affect any political decisions.

If World War II veterans could see the country that they fought for now,

would they do it again?

InfoWars Ban: CNN, Democrats Successfully Lobby Big Tech to Censor Their Critics

Big tech’s coordinated purge of InfoWars — which was hit by bans from Apple, Facebook, Spotify and YouTube in rapid succession — did not occur in a vacuum. On this issue, Silicon Valley bowed to CNN journalists and Democrat politicians who ceaselessly lobbied for the site to be censored.

It’s a sign of how the concentration of power in America has shifted from big government to big tech that politicians are now lobbying tech companies rather than the other way round, but that’s exactly what happened over the course of the past few months, as Democrats applied relentless pressure on Facebook and other Silicon Valley giants to censor InfoWars.

Chief among them was Democratic Congressman Ted Deutch (D-FL), who demanded that a Facebook representative “explain” their decision not to ban InfoWars at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on social media censorship last month. Calling Jones as “well-known conspiracy theorist” whose “brand is bullying,” Deutch also demanded Google’s representative explain how many strikes it would take for a channel on Google-owned YouTube to be deleted.

He then asked Google’s representative if they thought conspiracy theories were a “problem,” and asked her to explain the company’s planned solutions. It seems that YouTube has now come up with a solution: ban the channels that Rep. Deutch objects to.

At a previous hearing on social media censorship, Deutch, who represents Parkland, Florida, attacked tech companies for allowing “vile and outrageous and offensive garbage” on their platforms.

Multiple other congressional Democrats, including Reps. Jerrold Nadler, Jim Hines, and Ted Lieu have attacked the very idea of big tech censorship, calling Republican concerns a “conspiracy theory” and defending the right of tech giants to censor whomever they want.

Far-left media also played a role in demanding tech giants appoint themselves as the arbiters of free speech. Here’s the Guardian attacking Facebook for continuing to host InfoWars, and here’s BuzzFeed’s Joe Bernstein wondering why Twitter hasn’t followed Facebook, YouTube, Spotify and Apple in today’s purge. Bernstein was retweeted by CNN’s Oliver Darcy by the way.

“Facebook Wants To Cut Down On Misinformation. So Why Isn’t It Doing Anything About InfoWars” was the not-so-subtle headline at the Washington Post last month.

Perhaps the most strident was CNN, which repeatedly lobbied YouTube to demonetize InfoWars and ban Alex Jones. They also went after Facebook on the same issue, stating the social media “struggles to explain why InfoWars isn’t banned.” News Corp’s Rupert Murdoch has also attacked big tech for allowing “scurrilous news sources” to gain traction on the web.

What does this mean? It means that Democrats are pressuring social media companies to give them free political favors by granting them a free platform while denying one to their critics.

It also means that the corporate media are all working overtime to remove their competitors on social media.

And it’s working.

If they can get away with banning Alex Jones for being a "conspiracy theorist", they can ban ANYONE they don't like for the same reason.    Anyone, for instance, who might post the truth about the Clintons, AGWalarmism, Fabian Socialism, or the Seditious Russia Collusion Allegations.   JUST SAYING ...  B)

I told you before I search stuff about ultraliberals and it doesn't come up...I have to be super specific.

Tonight I read a article about a VC woman running as a REPUB. She was censored by both Twitter and Facebook.

Christopher Hitchens on Free Speech:

Everyone on this site would be smart to watch that.

Here’s just an excerpt:

Quote

Freedom of Speech - Christopher Hitchens

I am sure that all British journalists will agree with the statement issued by Jodie Ginsberg, chief executive of Index on Censorship, following the murderous attack on the staff of the French magazine Charlie Hebdo:

“The ability to express ourselves freely is fundamental to a free society. This includes the freedom to publish, to satirise, to joke, to criticise, even when that might cause offence to others. Those who wish to silence free speech must never be allowed to prevail”.

Similarly, we can all agree with Michelle Stanistreet, general secretary of the National Union of Journalists, who described the attack as “an attempt to assassinate the free press”. She added:

“Supporters of free speech and civil liberties must stand together with governments to condemn this act and defend the right of all journalists to do their job without fear of threats, intimidation and brutal murder”.

Doubtless, there will be people who think the magazine was overly provocative in publishing cartoons of Islam’s prophet Mohammed. If so, they should think again.

Let them ponder this key clause in the United Nations’ universal declaration of human rights:

“Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference, and impart information and ideas through any media regardless of frontiers”

Press freedom and the freedom of speech allow for newspapers and individual citizens to express views that are offensive. Britain, in company with countries across Europe and the continents of America and Australia, long ago repealed - or never enacted - laws condemning heretics (and blasphemers) to death.

Although we know that Voltaire never did write the words ascribed to him about the right to speak freely, they are, or should be, our maxim:

“I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it”.

But as one of the commenters at that Youtube link said, “The people who most need to see this never will.”

The entire supply of American newspapers was also not owned by a tiny handful of people back then.  Now they all embrace this sort of click-bait-style "journalism" because 1) they are all doing it to varying degrees because they are all owned by the same people, and 2) they are facing stiff competition from the Internet, where "news" sites can spring up for dirt cheap and publish whatever they want, run the most ragingly Jerry Springer Kim Kardashian click-bait-style horsesh!t imaginable, and generate revenue and cut into the for-pay media outlets that reporters used to work for.

The industry is disrupted, and we need to see how it shakes out still.  Real, honest, ethical, principled reporters will land somewhere.  Long-form news sources like websites and podcasts would be my guess.
