The far left is winning the Democratic civil war

Recommended Posts

The success of very liberal candidates in primaries across four states is causing a new bout of heartburn among party strategists in Washington, who worry about unelectable activists thwarting their drive for the House majority. But it also reflects a broader leftward lurch among Democrats across the country since President Trump took office.

"In the Philadelphia suburbs, centrist Rachel Reddick — a 33-year-old Navy veteran endorsed by Emily’s List — lost the Democratic primary to take on Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R) after “proud progressive” Scott Wallace ran ads attacking her for being a registered Republican until 2016."

If the Dems have to become Trump-lite, to appeal to the morons, in order to win - don't.

The far-left is very NOT liberal.

Left-wing populism is as ugly as right-wing populism.

Bill is very rational.. he just hates Bernie Sanders for making Hillary lose..  Not being able to digest opposing views is a real problem on this forum.. I am willing to listen.. but all I hear from Trumporrhoids is flatulence

I am concerned that the democrats will offer old crazy over liberal folks to the ticket

Democrats need to compromise with conservatives to win their vote.  They are growing fewer in number every day so it might be moot.

But damn it.. I am 55 now and this  country ain't what it was when I was growing up.. I want to do domething about it.

True that!

And Our Revolutionists have lost almost every race they've entered this year, thank goodness!

We already have one party that's gone off the rails, we don't need a Green-Tea Party.

Populism sucks!

Not only for that reason. I don't like politicians who use anger, stoking resentments, and scapegoating as the basis of their movements.

Bernie Sanders has adopted the political playbook of tin-horn dictators worldwide. He never asks his supporters for hard-work and sacrifice, while encouraging them to live off the labor of others. Yet those who would supply the free stuff are characterized as evil-doers.

He makes huge promises, but when asked for details has literally no plans. Nothing to offer but cheap sloganeering.

His personal biography is a disgrace. He chose to be a mooch throughout what might have been his "working life." Not even willing to work to support his child. Now he's a "working-class hero?" Please! What does Bernie Sander know about work?

Meanwhile, he and Jane are enjoying a plutocratic lifestyle supported by ill-gotten gains. They refuse to release their tax returns, despite the promises to do so. I hate the hypocrisy.

Bernie is a left-wing version of Archie Bunker and Donald Trump. Not a person of character.

I support liberals and I support progressives. Bernie Sanders is neither.

But it also reflects a broader leftward lurch among Democrats across the country since President Trump took office.

No it doesn't.  What it reflects is two things:  1) the average Democrat doesn't give a crap about midterm primary elections; and

2) The Progressive-Communists know this and show up in force to vote in Democrat Primaries to stuff the ballots with their "special" candidates.    This is not meaningless, but damaging to the Democrat Party, as no one other than the progressives who voted, is going to be rallying behind their Communist Candidates come November.

Bernie Sanders' Tax Return Has Some Odd Deductions

www.forbes.com/sites/ryanellis/2016/04/19/bernie...

Apr 18, 2016 · Bernie Sanders has finally released his tax return. Despite his rhetoric about the rich paying their "fair share," his tax returns show that he is perfectly willing to play the game himself.

Our ruling

Sanders told Tapper that his campaign has released his past tax returns.

Sanders said his 2015 return is forthcoming, and he has made other types of disclosures in the past, including congressional and presidential-candidate filings. But his releases of prior-year tax forms -- the specific documents Tapper asked about -- have been limited in several ways. He’s only released information for one year, which pales compared to most other recent presidential candidates, and even that year’s release only includes a summary page, not the full return. We rate his claim False.

UPDATE: As he had promised, Sanders released his full 2014 tax return on April 15, 2016.
