XavierOnassis
This is a horrible bill. The Senate should reject it. If you ask people about taxes, they normally complain that they think the corporations and the mega wealthy do not pay their fair share. It is actually a lie that American corporations pay more than other countries. The rates are higher, but there are so many loopholes and subsidies that the Japanese, the French and the S. Korean corporations pay more. The tax laws should be revised, but this bill lowers the corporate tax rate permanently but the personal income tax only temporarily. Many middle class people will actually pay MORE. The GOP Reps who voted for this horrid bill did so because they are hoping for juicy campaign contributions for the 2018 elections. 2018 taxes will be affected, but most people will not have to pay them until 2019: too late to punish their corrupt congresscrittters. Call your senator and urge him/her to vote this piece of shit down.

untitled
Bill Signals G.O.P. Prioritizes Corporate Tax Cuts The version of the bill moving through the Senate Finance Committee chooses to give peace of mind to corporate executives planning their long-term investments. That comes at the expense of added anxiety for individual taxpayers, particularly those in the middle class, who could face stiff tax increases on Jan. 1, 2026. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/16/us/politics/republican-tax-plans-corporations.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=first-column-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news

William1444
Has anyone in the faux news media including fox, ms, nbc, cbs, abc ANYONE???? asked a simple question of how much republicans are RAISING THE NATIONAL DEBT which will cause massive inflation like it did while bobblehead ronnie raygun and republicans were in power in the late 1980s with their TRICKle down economics to fool morons? Deficit spending causes inflation. Inflation lowers fixed wages and fixed incomes like social security. Deficit spending is made worse with the duty to pay interest on the national debt. republican deficit spending makes unborn future generations pay for the present theft of trillions by the rich. republicans do NOT represent YOU. republicans represent only the rich donors who BRIBE them to give the rich corporate owners tax cuts. NO additional jobs will be created by the rich getting tax cuts, in fact, just the opposite. When money is taken from the middle class and given to the rich, the middle class no longer has any money to buy anything, cars, homes, mall shopping, christmas toys, etc. DEMAND is what creates jobs. NO MONEY for the middle class means NO DEMANDS for goods which means NO JOBS.
