benson13
""The GOP has been destroying the Middle Class slowly since Reagan. The GOP's mantra since Reagan has been: No middle class, no republic: The GOP has been planning to destroy America’s safety net and kill democracy for the past 37 years plus. Newt Gingrich openly bragged at the Heritage Foundation that the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress were going to “break out of the Franklin Delano Roosevelt model.” That “model,” of course, created what we today refer to as “the middle class.” Ever since the election of Ronald Reagan, Republicans have been working overtime to kneecap institutions that support the American middle class. And, as any working-class family can tell you, the GOP has had some substantial successes, particularly in shifting both income and political power away from voters and towards billionaires and transnational corporations""

You, and those like you - are what they rely upon for that to continue. They have coined a phrase for you and your ilk: Useful idiot In political jargon, useful idiot is a term for people perceived as propagandists for a cause whose goals they are not fully aware of, and who are used cynically by the leaders of the cause. William1444
The rich control the politicians with large bribes which are politely called campaign contributions. The politicians use the bribe money to buy ads to tell moron voters that they are holier than their opponents even though the politicians will never represent the voters because the politicians, mostly republicans represent ONLY THE RICH who bribe them to lower the taxes of the rich and give them and their corporations exemptions and deductions. The rich move their factories to communist china and the rich and republicans get in bed with the communists to keep their wealth offshore and never pay any taxes on income earned in the USA. The politicians then use deficit spending to pay for govt. That deficit spending causes massive inflation which lowers the effective wages of middle class workers and those on fixed incomes like the elderly on social security. Only govt unions like civil service have cost of living adjustments to keep their salaries moving up at the same rate as ronnie ray gun and bush and republicans' inflation. impartialobserver
The FED is in existence for one simple and undeniable reason: fear of uncertainty. The public, the politicians, bankers, etc. know that the FED could be done away with and life would go on. However, the path would be less certain and that scares people. They may not so explicitly but their actions indicate this.
