And have been banned in states and localities, which the Heller v DC decision with the majority opinion of that decision issued by Antonin Scalia clearly states that those restrictions are Constitutional. Expect more such regulations as time goes on. The 2nd Amendment gives nobody the right to own an AR-15, and the federal government could ban their manufacture for sale in the US at any time, as any state or locality can ban them at any time, and are doing.
