Commerce Sec. Wilbur Ross says 'nothing improper' about Russia links

But questions will be raised about Mr Ross's potential conflicts of interest and whether his ties undermine US sanctions against Russia.

"Our committee was misled, the American people were misled by the concealment of those companies," Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal told NBC News after the revelations came to light.
Mr Blumenthal has called for an investigation into the treasury secretary's links to President Putin's son-in-law.

The leaks come as an investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller into Russian connections to Donald Trump's 2016 campaign team continues.

I corrected you yesterday on this issue.

According to the NYSlimes, Mr. Ross disclosed this information.

Though his personal share of that stake was reduced as he took office in February, he retained an investment in the partnerships valued between $2 million and $10 million, and stood to earn a higher share of profits as a general partner, according to his government ethics disclosure and securities filings.

Repeating a lie, and blaming Trump for your lies, isn't going to suddenly make your ignorant claims come true.

One of the most pointed disclosures in the Paradise Papers was that Wilbur Ross, Trump’s commerce secretary, has continued to do business with the son-in-law of Russian president Vladimir Putin as well as a member of Putin’s inner circle who is under US sanctions.

Ross, himself a billionaire, has retained since joining the Trump administration his investment in a shipping company, Navigator, that has a partnership with the Russian gas giant Sibur.

In turn Sibur is part-owned by Kirill Shamalov, the husband of Putin’s daughter.

That is what they all said. Even manafort working for the pro russian prime minster

With Manafort, It Really Is About Russia, Not Ukraine

Mr. Manafort didn’t go to Ukraine to advance the interests of democracy, Western Europe or the United States. He was there to help an increasingly corrupt Russia-friendly politician, who became a Kremlin puppet during the time Mr. Manafort worked for him.
