Ascribing false motives to another in the form of a question is still a personal attack. Surely, you understand that?

The GOP healthcare bill if passed will hurt a lot of people. Maybe you should consider the consequences of your actions in the future?

Bill

There are no "false motives." I'm content with my actions. I've opposed the healthcare bill from the get-go. It's legislative cow dung.

Are you supporting the single payer healthcare bill out there in California?

And why are you so interested in ascribing false motives to me? Bad show for a moderator.

Of course, they are.

Bill

But of course, they are your real motives.

Nina Turner is not going away. She is one of the voices that speak to the concerns of ordinary people ... Like how Trump Care is actually a plan to reduce people's benefits with the savings going to huge tax breaks for the wealthy. The Walton Family alone will get millions.

And you want one of the few who are telling the truth about what is happening to this economy to "keep her sorry mouth shut"? Why are you so interested in suppressing all information about the Great Wealth Transfer going on in the USA right now?

House Bill H.R. 676

Expanded & Improved Medicare for All Act

This bill establishes the Medicare for All Program to provide all individuals residing in the United States and U.S. territories with free health care that includes all medically necessary care, such as primary care and prevention, dietary and nutritional therapies, prescription drugs, emergency care, long-term care, mental health services, dental services, and vision care.

Health insurers may not sell health insurance that duplicates the benefits provided under this bill.
Insurers may sell benefits that are not medically necessary, such as cosmetic surgery benefits.

The program is funded: (1) from existing sources of government revenues for health care,
(2) by increasing personal income taxes on the top 5% of income earners,
(3) by instituting a progressive excise tax on payroll and self-employment income,
(4) by instituting a tax on unearned income, and
(5) by instituting a tax on stock and bond transactions.

Out of 193 House Democrats, 112 have co-sponsored this bill. That leaves 81 Democrats that are opposing the Bill
One of those opposing is Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who has taken millions of dollars in campaign contributions from the private insurance, healthcare, and pharmaceutical industries.

There needs to be a balance between the Russia story and the other stories like health care and others on TV. The print reporters seem to do most of the investigative reporting. Without them there would be little visibility on what Rrump is doing

This is just one example of the real reason why Democratic candidates are losing so often.

Can't you guys see? We shouldn't be fighting on which is more important! You all have good points! Go whole hog on the Russia thing, and keep shouting out about the horrific things the Republican party is trying to do! It's also possible that they aren't doing more to reign in the great orange troll doll so we'll be to distracted by his insanity to pay enough attention to the other crap they're doing! So raise Hell about it all! Russia/Health Care/ Tax 'reform'(Or give the wealthy more money), and let them know we won't let any of histories worst president's idiocy distract us from their bullshit!

Exactly. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a corporate Democrat and a perennial passenger on the lobbyist gravy train. She is part of the problem.

It wasn't an "attack." It was a statement of truth.

Have you even bothered to look up how much lobbyist cash Debbie Wasserman Schultz rakes in each year?

Or is corporate control of our government a good thing in your opinion?

Wrong. Money in politics is a large part of the problem in Washington. Perhaps you prefer oligarchy, but tens of millions of Americans do NOT.

Another personal attack in the guise of a question.

I prefer to live in a free country with liberal values and not a Marxist-collectivist-totalitarian-populist-nativist state that claims its oppression is done in "the name of the people."

We've seen how that path works out.

There was no "personal attack" nor was there any question. It was a statement based on your multiple responses over time on this topic.

There is nothing "liberal" about huge corporations purchasing our government. It's turning this country into an oligarchy and taking power away from "we the people" (you know, the actual voters who should be calling the shots).

False. Pure demagoguery. Typical.

More mau-mauing of liberals by those who self identify as far-left.

Wrong. I'm a far left liberal. :D Feel free to explain that you're against donating huge sums of money to politicians. However everything you've posted seems to indicate that you support corporate money in politics. Note my usage of the words "appears," "seems," etc. That's a cue for you to clarify.....so, please do (clarify).

But to deny that our government is, at least in part, bought and paid for by big business and the wealthy is not debatable; it is FACT.

Mau mau THAT! :P

You've said (and reaffirmed many times) that you are (direct quote) "as far to the left as it gets."

If you want to pose as a "liberal" when it suits you, I'll have to laugh.

You seem to desire to live in a collectivist state where freedom is crushed in "the name of the people."

That's not a liberal vision.

Laugh away, chuckles. Doesn't make it less true.

There are plenty of far left liberals out there. The world doesn't adhere to your bizarre and narrowed definitions.

Incorrect, but thanks for playing. I desire a representative democracy where citizens' votes determine how the country is run (not rich donors or corporations' lobbyists).

So let's get back on topic, Mr. Thread Derailer:

Tell me why you think we should spend 100% of the media's air time on Russia. The topic is extremely important as are the updates. However shouldn't we talk about OTHER topics, too? There's a lot going on.

The media hasn't spent 100% of its efforts (or anything close to it) on the Russia story. It is an important story to cover as it will keep Trump on his heels and Congress busy with this rather than rolling back 75 years of progress.

Meanwhile the far-right (folks like Breitbart and the idiots on NHB) are having a field-day with the comments of Nina Turner.

Is she pushing for a "life-achievement" award from Vladimir Putin? One has to wonder.

I've seen it and (as usual) the cons are totally missing Nina's point. She's not saying that the Russia story shouldn't be covered. In fact, she stated a couple time (at least) that it's important that we know what's going on.

Her point was that there are other things going on in this country aside from Russia that should be discussed ALSO (not instead of).

More Trump enabling from the left. You seemed to want him, he's yours, not you seem to want to keep him.

I'm of a different mind.

Trump need to be resisted. Russia needs to be resisted. Friends of both need to be resisted.

Like the right wingers, you are also missing the point. Maybe Hillary should say it so you'll listen. There are other news stories out there besides Russia, Russia, Russia!! We should cover ALL the news.

The investigation is in good hands with Bob Mueller. He'll get to the bottom of this.
