Intel Report Destroys Democrat Talking Point On Leaked Emails

Recommended Posts

The Democratic National Committee emails released by Wikileaks were not forged by the Russians, U.S. intelligence agencies said in a report Friday, putting to rest a prominent Democrat talking point regarding the emails.

“Disclosures through Wikileaks did not contain any evident forgeries,” the report from the Director of National Intelligence states, adding that Russia likely chose to release the emails to Wikileaks because of its reputation for authenticity. The report says the assessment was made by the intel community with a high level of confidence.

Democrats used the talking point that Russians could have doctored the emails consistently throughout the presidential campaign, as damaging emails from the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta were released by Wikileaks over a period of months.

Six weeks prior to the election, TheDCNF Investigative Group’s Luke Rosiak performed a cyber test on thousands of the Podesta emails that showed they were posted by Wikileaks with no changes from their original versions.(RELATED: Digital Test Shows Podesta Emails UNALTERED by Wikileaks)

Former DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigned following the Democratic National Convention over the embarrassing contents of the emails. Her replacement, Donna Brazile, was later exposed in leaked emails for passing on debate questions to Clinton. She was suspended from CNN over the emails, which she initially claimed were doctored by the Russians. (RELATED: Donna Brazile Complains She’s Being ‘Persecuted’ Over Leak To Clinton Campaign)

“I believe that they should take those doctored files with a grain of salt,” she told reporters,” because of the way in which they were stolen and the way they were put on the Internet.”

Clapper himself said in the hearings that there is no evidence the hacking helped Trump or hurt Hillary.

Why did Obama put sanctions against Russia a week before the report came out?

Shouldn't a president wait for the report and then take action if needed?

hey asshole

that was not then task set to them

that is not their job

But it was Obama's job to do something about Russian hacking that he said had been going on for years.

Obama waited until Hillary lost to suddenly take action. Why?

China hacked sensitive material on gov. employees during Obama's admin...Obama did nothing.

BTW...calling me an asshole is not evidence of anything...your name is "evince" correct?
