No US carrier at sea leaves gap in Middle East

Good job Barry. In the middle of one of the most vulnerable times our country experiences, and you leave the entire world without carrier coverage.

For the next week, not only will there be no U.S. Navy aircraft carrier in the Middle East, but there will be no American aircraft carriers deployed at sea anywhere else in the world, despite a host of worldwide threats facing the United States.

The carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and her strike group returned to Norfolk, Va., Friday following a seven-month deployment. The Ike launched hundreds of airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq and Syria from both the Mediterranean Sea and the Persian Gulf.

Two destroyers in the Ike’s strike group also saw combat. The USS Nitze and USS Mason were attacked in the Red Sea when Iranian backed Houthi forces in Yemen launched cruise misisles, which were intercepted by the Mason. A retaliatory strike by the Nitze destroyed the radar installations in Yemen in October.

Air force General says the air force needs 60,000 recruits IMMEDIATELY. The service has been decimated. Air force is cannibalizing planes to keep some flying. We are in bad shape.

Talk to the GOP

If the USA were not declaring war and invading countries the BS threat would be diminished greatly.

How many governments can invade the USA? None in the middle east that I know of unless we provided weapons and such. Not to damn many have the capability.

Reagan/Bush promised the world the USA would be the world cop which was dumb as hell. What taxpayers got was a never ending multi trillion tax dollar war machine some refer to as foreign policy.

Our world wide military commitment is centered around protecting multi national corporation investments nothing else.

Meet PNAC:

"Rebuilding America's Defences," openly advocates for total global military domination” (Very dangerous position which threatens OUR freedoms and the nations security)

Our aim is to remind Americans of these lessons and to draw their consequences for today. Here are four consequences:

• we need to increase defense spending significantly if we are to carry out our global protection for Wal-Mart,Oil,Coca Cola,Pepsico,diamonds,gold etc etc etc

• we need to strengthen our ties to dictator regimes friendly to American interests and Bogus values;

• we need to promote the cause of the political right wing and economic rape for corp USA abroad;

• we need to accept responsibility for America's unique role in forcing others to accept our corrupt principles.

Such a war mongering policy of military strength and immoral clarity may not be fashionable today. But it is necessary if the United States is to build on the extortions of this past century and to ensure our security and our greatness no matter how many innocent USA soldiers and innocent mothers,children and fathers abroad die.
