This is already the biggest electoral defection since 1808. Read it and weep, cons. Your boy will be a footnote in history.

A presidential elector leading a historic protest against the Electoral College system is planning to take his fight to court.

A lawyer for Michael Baca, a Colorado elector, told Politico that his client is preparing a lawsuit challenging state laws that force electors to vote for their party's nominee.

There are currently 29 states with laws on the books that bind electors to the election result in their respective states, but those laws have never been enforced.

Further, the penalty for violating the law is typically a small fine.

There are at least six "faithless" electors who say they plan to undermine the Electoral College by voting for someone other than their nominee.

If they move forward with their protest, it will be the largest electoral defection since 1808, when six Democratic-Republican electors refused to vote for James Madison.

Art Sisneros, a GOP elector from Texas, told Politico he will decide next week whether to join the protest and cast his vote for someone other than Donald Trump.

On the surface I say go for it. I will keep an eye on this case.

Trump won by 74 electoral votes. Colorado only has 9. It would take a pretty big revolt of electors to change the outcome.

Colorado went BLUE, you idiots!

That guy is suing so that he can change his vote to Trump!

You guys are so desperate for a bone that you are grasping at the wrong straws!

THINK! for crying out loud

Let me show you WHY you are a moron.

A. Colorado went Clinton. The "Defection" is so they don't have to vote for HER!!!

B. Only a dumbass would actually think this means something.

C. ALL of the "electors" that MAY get to "defect" in this case are Clinton electors.

D. WHO are they going to vote for if they DO get "unbound"??? It's not going to be Clinton.

E. Clinton loses 6 elector votes. So that ONLY thing that changes is HER total drops.

See how EASY that was to blow your little idea that somehow this is going to change the fact that on Jan. 20th, 2017, Donald J. Trump WILL be sworn in as the President of the United States.

Funny how that works.

SO WHY is it that the ONLY electors wanting to defect are those CLINTON electors???

Yeah, she was that bad a candidate.

I am sure that you believe this, but I question the implication that anyone gets to choose either of their parents.

The Bible frequently advocates punishing children for the actions of their parents, but that is one feature of the Bible that was banned from our laws.

Doing away with the electoral college is not a new issue. I have been pissing and moaning about it for years.

The majority vote should be the deciding factor....... popular or not.

Right wingers are nothing but a bunch of red neck sheep who dare not challenge the right wing nazi party line.
