shintao
Thank you. Thank you very much, everyone. Sorry to keep you waiting. Complicated business, complicated. Thank you very much. I've just received a call from secretary Clinton. She congratulated us. It’s about us. On our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign. I mean she fought very hard. Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country. I mean that very sincerely. Now it is time for America to bind the wounds of division, have to get together, to all Republicans and Democrats and independents across this nation I say it is time for us to come together as one united people. It is time. I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all of Americans, and this is so important to me. For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few people, I'm reaching out to you for your guidance and your help so that we can work together and unify our great country. As I've said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign but rather an incredible and great movement, made up of millions of hard-working men and women who love their country and want a better, brighter future for themselves and for their family. It is a movement comprised of Americans from all races, religions, backgrounds and beliefs, who want and expect our government to serve the people, and serve the people it will. Working together we will begin the urgent task of rebuilding our nation and renewing the American dream. I've spent my entire life in business, looking at the untapped potential in projects and in people all over the world. That is now what I want to do for our country. Tremendous potential. I've gotten to know our country so well. Tremendous potential. It is going to be a beautiful thing. Every single American will have the opportunity to realize his or her fullest potential. The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer. We are going to fix our inner cities and rebuild our highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, schools, hospitals. We're going to rebuild our infrastructure, which will become, by the way, second to none, and we will put millions of our people to work as we rebuild it. We will also finally take care of our great veterans who have been so loyal, and I've gotten to know so many over this 18-month journey. The time I've spent with them during this campaign has been among my greatest honors. Our veterans are incredible people. We will embark upon a project of national growth and renewal. I will harness the creative talents of our people and we will call upon the best and brightest to leverage their tremendous talent for the benefit of all. It is going to happen. We have a great economic plan. We will double our growth and have the strongest economy anywhere in the world. At the same time we will get along with all other nations, willing to get along with us. We will be. We will have great relationships. We expect to have great, great relationships. No dream is too big, no challenge is too great. Nothing we want for our future is beyond our reach. America will no longer settle for anything less than the best. We must reclaim our country's destiny and dream big and bold and daring. We have to do that. We're going to dream of things for our country, and beautiful things and successful things once again. I want to tell the world community that while we will always put America's interests first, we will deal fairly with everyone, with everyone. All people and all other nations. We will seek common ground, not hostility, partnership, not conflict. And now I would like to take this moment to thank some of the people who really helped me with this, what they are calling tonight a very, very historic victory. http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2016/11/9/13569124/donald-trump-wins-2016-presidential-election-victory-speech-transcript

theLion
I'll give you five to one he can't get a single item on that promise list accomplished. Great speech. I hope liberals give President Trump a fair chance. May I suggest the same fair chance that the GOP offered to Obama?
drvoke
If his intention is to improve the lives of all Americans, I wish him the best. But the best indicator of future behavior is past behavior. He hasn't cared in the past, I see no reason why he would begin now. (But if Ebenezer did it, perhaps he can too.) He was gracious in victory, but what happens when he doesn't get his way?

May I suggest the same fair chance that the GOP offered to Obama? It was tough to give a fair chance to an America hating president with an America hating wife. Like him or not, we all know that Trump loves our country, and that's a good start.

drvoke
Did everyone hear during his acceptance speech when Trump was praising Hillary for her long and devoted service to this country, one of his deplorables yelled "Assassinate the bitch!" Even Trump was appalled.

mothertrumper
Racist white America proved us all very wrong last night... Bernie would've kicked Trumps ass though. Hillary had way too many negatives. I was completely wrong about the outcome, as were millions of us. Trump knew exactly how to scare white rural America out of their homes into the voting booths... Cons are easy to frighten, the yellow-bellied bastards. They can't even leave the house without a gun. Chickenshit cowards. I knew this election was a census on how many ignorant rednecks we have in this country. Too many, it seems.

C'mon man white America isn't racist it's minority America that thinks being white = racist. It just goes to show the ignorance being taught to the minority population. Let's not forget one thing regardless of where we stand ideologically we are all Americans, we all play for the same team, called The United States of America! I wish you all the best and prosperity to all races. I just hope this race baiting and false accusing stops. That would be the single greatest bandaid for America. Also it was hard working middle class America and non working job seeking Americans that spoke the loudest in this election. Not "WHITE" "RACIST" America
dano bivins
Trump spent his whole life operating under the principle that "Americans are stupid". He built a 54 floor hi rise in nyc nd marketed it as a 64 floor bldg, so he could sell space at a higher price, calling the 34th floor the 44th floor. He's a con man, and America just got conned. Maybe we really ARE stupid.

May I suggest the same fair chance that the GOP offered to Obama? With a Republican House AND Senate? You're nuts. But I do love that you still believe there is something wrong with the opposition party trying to figure out what they did wrong.
