Cleveland Indians have a spectacularly racist logo

Recommended Posts

Of course that logo is offensive. Diminishing and ridiculing a minority by making them a clownish figure with a ridiculous name is reminiscent of the portrayals of black people during the Old South.

As someone who grew up in Northern Va, I have a lot of nostalgia about the Redskins also, but of course that name is offensive. Personally, I don't know why we can't just rename them with a name approved by Native Americans, and keep the logo, because I think that logo IS actually an homage to the nobility and brave fighting spirit of Native Americans.

We really, really admire team names and logos which "offend" the ever-aggrieved, shrieking, ranting pukeleft scuzzies.

We are starting a campaign to change the New York Giants to the New York Nigqers.

And how about those Fresno Faggots?

Baltimore Bulldykes.

San Diego Spicks.

Cincinnati Cripples.

You got a problem with that?

You know where to find us.

C'mon, c'mon!

Know what we mean?

Tell that to the dozens of Native American tribes all over this country you simpleton.

There are no tribes in the United States, they all have their own sovereign land within the US border. They pay no taxes and are free to do whatever they want on their own land. They even get free health care and casinos.

Someone could find something offensive about almost any team name and/or mascot.Big deal...move on to something important.

Can't. Meaningless arguments about superficial topics is an Alinsky practice designed to not come to a conclusion, but to allow one side to ridicule the other byn calling them racist where none exists.

.

For your education..

There is a list of federally recognized tribes in the contiguous United States of America. There are also federally recognized Alaska Native tribes. As of January 2016, 566 Native American tribes were legally recognized by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) of the United States.

Read PKT1106's post carefully. I believe, that while there are "federally recognized tribes" in the US, the land they operate own are considered reservations and most, if not all, laws are not applicable unless the tribe adopts them. That is why when you go to a casino in many states the tax rates are much lower and you only see tribe law enforcement. Appears the two of you are "talking" about different things.

And by pointing this out, they really have to choose weather they want to join the US and have civil rights protections or remain an independent tribal nation and keep their tax free casinos and health care. I am guessing they're gonna keep bitching about it while raking in millions each year. People of the land my ass.
