Girding to Retake Mosul, Obama Faces Bush’s Deadly Pitfall

Recommended Posts

WASHINGTON — As Iraqi and American troops prepare to try to retake the city of Mosul from the Islamic State, the Obama administration is describing the battle as the last major hurdle before declaring victory against the extremist Sunni militancy — in Iraq, at least.

If Obama hadn't abandoned Iraq, we wouldn't be fighting to retake Mosul.

It's hilarious that they are claiming they are defeating ISIS though. Facts be damned.

What does "abandon Iraq" mean? Bush invaded the country for no good reason. Seems rather imperialistic.

Obama didn't abandon shit. The elected gov. of Iraq asked us to leave. To go, get out, hit the road.

Guess now they need help with Mosul, or rather the oil fields right outside mosul.

Under Trump we would be there too, taking their oil, that's how he puts it

There really is no Iraq government, at least not under control of the US.
