bludog
The guy sounds more like a Donald Trump parrot. By the nonsensical nature of his answers and insulting attitude toward the interviewer, it seems likely this guy is just a cult follower of Der Trumpkfkopfk. You could see, by his facial expressions, there was more going, emotionally, than what he was saying. This is the type of individual that finds Trump charismatic. bludog
Exactly. They don't recognize the instability in his personality. They are eager to follow what they mistakenly see as, a strong man.
XavierOnassis
Trump is strong in the sense that he is a bully. This is a bit like Putin, another bully, but Putin is also sly and devious. Mark Twain said that the US was a country populated by temporarily embarrassed millionaires. meaning that a lot of Americas think that is is likely that they will strike it rick, hit the lottery. invent something profitable or inherit a fortune. The Confederacy was mostly defended by po' White trash who thought that it was only a matter of time before they got some land, bought some slaves, and make a fortune. The Confederate aristocracy was not required to even join the army if they owned 10 slaves or more. And when the plantation owners did join, they were made officers. Trump represents that mentality. TheOldBarn
The folks who support Trump are all right-wing, it's always the right-wing who push the bar lower. Nothing they say about him makes any sense. I have been aware of Trump since the early eighties. He's a brazen megalomaniac likely psychopath - it would be interesting to see a PET scan of his brain. The guy is a bad business person, this much is obvious. His main money source comes from his branding and I truly do not think it's near a billion never the less billions as he projects. He has no understanding of economics, basic economics mind you, and for that matter neither do his supporters who always mention taxation as being the biggest evil. His plan, basically is to give big tax breaks to rich folks, and to do away with regulations. So, it's back to common sense really. The minority runs congress because of gerrymandering and the dummies who support Trump are frustrated and are blaming the wrong folks for all the shit. Peace! DonJoe
So how many people caught that Trump suggested in the second debate that the way to compete with China, particularly in the steel industry, is by attacking the EPA? You can fight currency manipulation simply by doing away with regulations.
TheOldBarn
It would be good of Hillary to refuse the third debate with Trump. She should agree to debate with third party candidates instead. That way a real discussion on issues can be began. What we see with Trump in all the debates he's been in is nothing but garbage. I don't want anymore garbage, is what Hillary should say. I want a real debate about what all the people need. Man that would be spectacular if she said that!!! Peace!
Zaro
This guy doesn't care about Trumps tax policy etc. He likes Trump for emotional reasons, meaning bigotry in the form of racism. He was defensive about the minority question. Too bad he was not asked about women, I bet he would have really let fly
TheOldBarn
we all know Trump knew him long ago Sure we were all quite surprised he made it where he did at the top of the Republican heap But, enough, we know, we know He's warped the world enough It's quite tragic discourse The guys a liar who the fuck cares what he has to say Stop talking about him I know, it's like a reality show that's growing sicker by the day make the jokes later on, maybe ten or twenty or thirty years away Then we can all have a good laugh/ or is it funny in the end? Nope Peace! Peace!
kfbvoice
It's time to say goodbye to the Reagan Democrats and working class Trump supporters. It would not matter if Democrats ran Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren. These Trump voters are angry and outraged by change and a world they can't control. Whether it's illegal immigration or the growing Hispanic population in general or homegrown Islamic terrorism inspired by ISIS they feel threatened and Trump speaks to that. Nothing else he does matters.
EvilFerret
Actually, kfb, I am going to disagree with you there. The people I know who are voting for Trump can't stand him. They are voting for Trump because they think Hillary is worse, because they see her indiscretions as just as bad as Trump's. If it were a different Democrat, they might actually vote for someone else than Hillary. They are voting for Trump because they see the necessity of appointing conservative Supreme Court judges as the most important thing. They say, we're not voting for Trump, we're voting for the judges.
Cecelia
Most Republicans I know have said that "Elizabeth Warren is just as bad as Hillary Clinton," and that "Bernie Sanders is a nutjob" I've seen people who don't like EITHER party say "I'll vote Trump because I don't like Hillary" but they also happen to be nutjobs who think Hillary is working with the New World Order. They say, we're not voting for Trump, we're voting for the judges. If those Trump voters want a more conservative Supreme Court then it's not likely they would vote for any Democrat. You're not going to win working class social conservatives who are pro life and oppose gun control. They might have hated NAFTA and the TARP but they're not going to vote based on economic issues. I'm not sure that I accept the conventional left- liberal narrative of disaffected Reagan Democrats or Trump voters who just want a populist that won't press abortion rights or gun control. Maybe I'm wrong maybe something can be done. The kinds of white working class Trump supporters I know care about illegal immigration, gun rights, strong national defense, and Trade. They don't talk about income inequality, raising the minimum wage, breaking up big banks, or money in politics.

laripu
Someone on our street wrote on her Facebook page that anyone that would vote for Clinton is stupid....despite the polling evidence Clinton has an overwhelming lead among people with university degrees, while Trump has an overwhelming lead among whites with no university. While university is not a firm indication of intelligence or stupidity, it's definitely statistically correlated. Not that this person on our street understands that. In the mean time, there are two Clinton signs on adjacent houses: one at our house, and one next door. (Two houses, three people with university education.) Two more elsewhere in our circle, and another person with university education. Only one Trump sign though, even though this neighborhood has been largely Republican in previous elections. Yeah but a lot of people on the far-right, or alt-right, believe educated people are "brainwashed", as universities are "leftist indoctrination" institutions. laripu
Yeah but a lot of people on the far-right, or alt-right, believe educated people are "brainwashed", as universities are "leftist indoctrination" institutions.Ha ... I never took a single university course in politics or history or sociology ... but, yeah, all that math I studied was leftist indoctrination. The real number system is actually the fake left wing number system. Group theory? Obviously socialist. Non-commutative ring theory must be socialist because it deals with "left ideals". (Really, that's a thing, but it has nothing to do with politics.) The stupid f**kin' religious right is dangerously anti-learning and always has been, from trying to pass a law to make PI equal to 3, to the Scopes monkey trial, to the "creation science" fiasco. But they'll never have real power, because business needs knowledge and people who can wield it.

The right has passed laws dumbing down schools in the US. For example not allowing critical thinking. You being born in Canada, and I left the US in 2008, I am not sure how it is now, but I heard that it's very easy for a foreigner to get a job in the USA.
