eclectic skeptic
Since its inception, USA Today has never ever endorsed a candidate for President of the United States. Today they broke that streak. Sort of. See, they didnt exactly endorse Hillary Clinton, but the USA Today editorial board was unanimous in declaring anyone but Donald Trump. From the day he declared his candidacy 15 months ago through this weeks first presidential debate, the paper says, Trump has demonstrated repeatedly that he lacks the temperament, knowledge, steadiness and honesty that America needs from its presidents. They call him erratic, a purveyor of prejudice, an ethically-questionable businessman, and a reckless liar: Although polls show that Clinton is considered less honest and trustworthy than Trump, its not even a close contest. Trump is in a league of his own when it comes to the quality and quantity of his misstatements. When confronted with a falsehood, such as his assertion that he was always against the Iraq War, Trumps reaction is to use the Big Lie technique of repeating it so often that people begin to believe it. Whatever you do, however, resist the siren song of a dangerous demagogue. By all means vote, just not for Donald Trump. http://www.mediaite.com/online/usa-today-makes-presidential-endorsement-for-first-time-ever-anyone-but-trump/

merrill
All of these newspaper endorsements are rendered insignificant because they are owned by the very few wealthy conservatives. So called liberal media got swallowed up and bought up by conservatives. Hillary Clinton meets the criteria as a conservative to be honored with conservative endorsements. The woman IS NO democrat not by a long shot. USA voters are getting duped again. Conservatives backing Hillary Clinton tells voters that Hillary Clinton is much more conservative than she is pretending. Conservatives only back their own kind. Was Trump paid to run against Hillary? Jill Stein the activist grass roots presidential candidate is dealing with her activist misdemeanor according to her legal counsel. ScottMon
Oh...way lots of voters....but most of that total are the voters who are AFRAID OF TRUMP EVER BECOMING PRESIDENT. Here's how I look at it. The majority, The Moderates if you will allow, are frankly disgusted with both and will probably not vote. That leaves the fringes who will vote for one or the other. Hilary has has made significant strides in bringing in many of the disenchanted Bernie Supporters but not all off them. On the other hand, Trump has played the fear card effectively by offering definitive solutions in the minds of his supporters. Some folks are afraid of how much violence has occurred on American soil since 9/11 because the news streams are broadcasting it to the point where it has taken over the news. Some folks will gladly give up their freedom for a sense of security. This is why Trump will win. Its the same platform that Reagan won and we weren't really at war like we are now. Trump has the fear vote locked down. People don't want complex administrative approaches.

eclectic skeptic
Holy Crap. Now the conservative WALL St. Journal too: " Clinton alone stands between America and the reign of the most unstable, unfit president in U.S. history." http://www.wsj.com/articles/hillary-hatred-derangement-syndrome-1475192121?utm_source=huffingtonpost.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=pubexchange
